This is the week... we're heading south to Reno and then over to Napa Valley and then up the Oregon coast! I'm getting so excited... I almost don't care what the weather will do here at home. LOL

Well folks... here it is - our new BB!

It will take some time to get used to that's for sure!  It will be a learning curve for some, but I think we're all up for the challenge.  If we can deal with diabetes and it's many challenges, we can definitely learn the ins and outs of this new forum.

I have full confidence in all of us.

I sure hope everyone gets into the new board and finds us okay.  I know I had trouble logging in using my Firefox browser, and discovered when I switched back to Internet Explorer that I was able to log in.

I find everything moves really slow, but maybe that's just because it's all so new and such.  Sure hope it speeds up because if it doesn't I feel for any of you still on dial up as it's so slow on my cable high speed I can't imagine how it will crawl on dial up.

Well, I think I'll head to bed.  See you all in the morning.

I just wanted to say hi and check out the new format.Big Smile

For those of you not familiar with this kind of format on a board it works just like most e-mail programs so don't let it throw you.

Morning all. Well, it took me a bit to figure this out but I did just make my coffee LOL. In experience, Just FYI, please think twice before pasting any flashy and animated critters on your post. It'll make those with dial up almost impossible to come visit.

Well, better go get my coffee. It's COLD out there so need my fuzzie socks. Laundry today and of course "playing" here.

    Love and Fuzzies!

Well, just checked and we have -6 - poor Taffy couldn't even keep her paws on the ground for long. She wasn't out long. Coffee's good this morning.

Hauke, glad things went well for you this weekend!

Well, better get NSDD moving and warm up the truck. Then it's off to climb Mt Washmore LOL.

    Love to all!

Morning to you too Mary. That's a very nice picture.

NSDD is home from school AGAIN this time with a cold. Well, not to sound cold hearted or anything but if one would wear a jacket in sub-zero weather.........

As I said, have to get Mt. Washmore conquered today. We got our tree yesterday. Wouldn't you know it, got it up in the stand, watered and noticed the stand was bent somehow and the tree wouldn't stay up! What a mess LOL. Good thing I don't have carpet in the living room yet. I went and bought a new stand - one of those you put the thingy on the end of the tree, put it in the stand and once you get it straight can push down a clippy thing and it holds it steady. Much nicer and it holds a gallon of water. I have one of those self waterers you put an empty soda bottle filled with water in and the water goes thru the tube into the stand. Keeps it full. Very handy. Now I just need to figure out where I'm going to put it LOL. I know, I should have figured it out before I got it but why make things easy? LOL.

Have an awsome day everyone. Stay safe out there and snuggle up to the warm fuzzies!!

Well, good morning, everyone. I was here last night checking this place out. I clicked here and there to see what was going on. Don't know if I learned much, yet.

Hi to HAUKE, MARY, MICHELE, REBECCA, BIRDLADY.

I need to find out how to read the posts while I am responding. I don't how to minimize my message to do that.

    On to more exploration.

I tried the quick reply to see what happens. I am getting so many emails in my yahoo mail box. LOL Seems everyone else is too. Good day for us to explore the new BB since the weather is so yucky outside. Nancy, how are you making out with the exploring? LOL In a week we will be pro's at this.

    Good Morning all ~~

What a nightmare trying to get here ~~ I may eventually like this format, but it's going to take a while.

Hauke,  so glad your weekend was such a success!  But then, It had to be with you being so organized.  I'm sue you were exhausted by the time it was over!

DH and I took dinner over to SIL & DB on Friday nite ~ lasagna, etc.  It was delicious (if I say so myself), but now know why I only have it once a year.  It sure did a job on my BS.  However, they were very appreciative and that is all that counts.  Then, on Sat., we went in to DD#3, to help her get her tree and decorations up out of her storage unit.  Then spent the remainder of the day getting her tree up and decorated and also the rest of the apartment.  And, of course, ordered a pizza for dinner!  There goes the BS again!!!  We got within 30 miles of home, and drove into driving, freezing rain.  It was so hard, the defroster  couldn't keep up with the accumulation on the windshield.  I don' t think we were ever so happy to arrive home.  Yesterday morning, there were young men out in the church parking lot helping ladies onto 'safe ground'.  Spent the remainder of the day at home relaxing, eating sensibly, and napping.

Today will still be 'at home' because of the ice, but this will give me a chance to finish up the Christmas cards and possibly do some baking.

     'til later, Sandy

Surprise Hello everyone.  It's been awhile.  I had to come and check things out after Hauke's e mail.  They really have made changes.  I kept telling myself I should pop in, but never seemed to get around to it.  I hope everyone is doing okay and the families are doing fine also.  I'll get back later in the day. Promise. Debbie

Re: Monday's DC Conversation, December 10

Good morning.  Well I hope it's still morning by the time this gets posted!  LOL!!!

We're still ice covered and they're predicting more for tonight.  This is not a good time for us to have all of this ice!!  We have to drive about 25 miles to the funeral home for BIL's viewing and then again tomorrow for the funeral.  I've told our kids to not even think about coming if the roads are bad.

I've been to the coffee shop this a.m.  That's one of the advantages of living on a state highway.  It's almost always clear.

Once I find the dining room table I'm going to try wrapping some gifts this afternoon.  The table is still piled with "things" we brought back from vacation.  You know, those important things like Mardi Gras beads and leaflets from places we visited along with receipts from motels, restaurants, and gas.

I guess I need to get busy and fix us some lunch.  Fish is thawed and I'm doing broccoli salad to go with it.

I have a question for those of you taking Metformin.  Does it effect your appetite?  I'm just not hungry since I started on the Metformin.  Nothing sounds good either.

    Well I'd better get busy.

Thoughts and prayers for those needing them today.

     Carol
