ON OUR HONEYMOON WE ATE AT THE RAINFOREST CAFE AND LOVED THE BLUE CRAB DIP...I FIND SEVERAL RECIPES BUT I WONDER IF ANYONE HAS ONE THEY HAVE TRIED AND GOT "MMMM, THIS IS GREAT".  I'M MAKING IT FOR CHRISTMAS EVE AT MY NEW IN-LAWS HOME.  TINK'S TWIST ON THE ARTICHOKE DIP SOUNDS GOOD, I'LL HAVE TO TRY THAT NEXT TIME.

I've been making this one for years. It is tried and true.

    Eastern Shore Crab Dip

    1/2 pound crabmeat

    2 Tablespoons Old Bay

    4 oz sour cream

    8 oz cream cheese

    1/2 Tablespoon worchestershire sauce

    2 Tablespoons mayo

    1 tsp horseradish

1 Tablespoon minced green onion (fresh)

    1/2 tsp dry mustard

    1/2 tsp garlic salt

    1 Tablespoon Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese - divided

    2 Tablespoons milk

Sprinkle the Old Bay on the crabmeat and set aside. Mix all other ingredients together- using half of the cheddar cheese- on med. speed in the mixer. Fold in the crabmeat by hand. Pour in a buttered 1 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the casserole. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
