Hopefully this person will come forward. I do remember reading a few years back where a young woman thought that she had hit a deer. She had no idea that she had hit a jogger....I remember hitting a dog once and still stopping. No matter what I hit I would think that one would stop.

Prayers and good thoughts for a total recovery for your loved one.

Maybe a woman putting on makeup. I see it all the time.

The question was rhetorical. I doubt any of us can get that deep into another person's psyche at a time like that.

My thoughts on another forum are my business and those to whom I address them, Superglide. I thank you for your concern regarding the origin of the post though.

I will be sure to forward those sincerely kind thoughts and prayers to Rich's family. It is never an easy time for someone to watch helplessly as a loved one suffers. And, especially this time of year.

Eventually the driver may be found. But, even it not, Earl has a long way to go and right now it is all about making it through the next few days.

Thanks again for those with generous hearts.

okay. seeing as how all of these forums are a public bulletin board, and anyone can read them.

i have made posts and not had a single response. i don't go to another group and complain about it.

oh, and where were you when my beloved dog died? i don't remember seeing you offer any condolences.

in order to have any friends, first you have to be one.

The "how" and "why" of these things can truly boggle the mind.  My good thoughts to the family, Ridge, and hopes for a full recovery.

To all those who offered sincere prayers and good thoughts, instead of trying to find a reason to slam me, I thank you and ask that you continue them. The latest update is not such a good one. And, although "Skip" is alive he is not able to recognize family or do simple tasks for himself. He is still in great pain with the multitude of injuries he sustained. He will be going in for surgery later this week for a torn scapula and clavicle. He is unable to assist the police and we may never know who hit him. Skip was the major caretaker for their 91 year old Situ and she is having a difficult time accepting his condition.
Thank you too, to CharlesR for adding the request to the prayer circle. How very kind and thoughtful of you. I am sure anyone who read my original post knew it was of great concern to  our children and their families who mean the world to us.  Why that is cause for consternation by some is beyond me, but that remains their problem.
I would ask those that have prayed to continue to pray for that miracle that brings Skip back to us. This is the first year in 29 years that our dsil has not been with his wife and children at Christmas. They are very understanding and want to be with him, but the roads are not in good shape so they sit and wait for word of their loved ones safe return home.
When push comes to shove we have some of the nicest and kindest posters on this board and I do appreciate it when you all pull together for a cause.
    With sincere thanks. Ridge

Ridge, I am pulling for Skip. I am sorry someone was mean to you here … that is a reflection on them, not you.

My best wishes to you and your family.

    Take good care.
