PRALINES!!!!! The easiest recipe you will ever try

I have used this recipe for years...I got it out of an old hospital cookbook

    Pralines

    2 C. Sugar

    1 C. Milk

    8 Lg. Marshmallows

    2 T. Butter

    1/2. tsp. Vanilla

    2 C. Pecans..chopped

Combine sugar, milk and marshmallows in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat to soft ball stage (230) stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla. Beat until creamy.. Add pecans and beat until mixture starts to thicken ( about 2 min) .Working rapidly, drop by Tbsp on waxed paper. Cool completely, Store in airtight container.

    These are delicious.

I like this recipe. A bit different from the other pralines I have seen. I imagine the marshmallows make it just a bit less dense. I will try this in then ext day or two. Thanks for the recipe.

    Praliné
Praliné is composed of richly flavored chocolate to which caramelized sugar (hot caramel), well-roasted, finely-ground hazelnuts (or almonds) and vanilla have been added. The praliné flavor is typical in many Belgian chocolates or "pralines."

I didn't think that pralines were chocolate; thought of them as a brown-sugar type candy.  Hmmmm. . . .

    Joyful hugs,
