I started making Buckeyes years ago and can't remember where the recipe came from, but here's my recipe:

2 lbs. super chunky peanut butter (the cheaper brands work best), 2-1/2 lbs. powdered sugar, 1 c. margarine (I use Imperial).

Use a dough hook, or mix well by hand, and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Roll into 1-inch balls and freeze 1-1/2 hours or overnight.

Melt: 2 large Hershey bars, 1 12-oz pkg. chocolate chips, and 1/2 stick paraffin wax in double-boiler.

Dip frozen peanut butter balls in hot chocolate mixture using a toothpick. Coat with chocolate, leaving about 1/2" circle in center at top uncoated to resemble buckeyes.
