I understand people are interested in posting "siggies"

Well, I have some limited knowledge, and am willing to share what I know with anyone who is interested!  I thought a separate post would make it easier for everyone to see.

There are a couple of steps to it, but they are NOT as hard as they seem when they are all written out....it's like a recipe~It might have a lot of words, but it isn't difficult to do!

So, the first thing you want to do is go to www.photobucket.com.  Set up your account there.  You can even create different folders to keep like siggies together.  I have one for Christmas/New Years, Halloween/Autumn, Greetings, etc.

Then, to collect siggies,  you want to get started at www.delphiforums.com.  You want to go the Creative Arts forum once you are signed in (your choices are all down the left hand side.)

I will list the forums I like the best, but you could spend 100 years looking around there!!  So, once you get used to, explore around and find your favorites!!

       "The Signature Café"
       .:Signatures with Style:.
       Gypsy's Sigs
       Carousel Tags
       It's a Small World ~ Sigs, Snags & Games
       Select Creations
       Sig Party! **It's WW!**
       *~Graphic Storm~*Great Christmas sigs*
       The Enchanted Signature Collection
The Ladies Love Sigs - est: 6/27/02

So, mess around there, and let me know how it's going.  I'll answer questions as they come up. DO NOT be intimidated by Delphi!!  It's easy, just a whole lot going on.

Once you have siggies from Delphi, you save them to your computer.  Save them in the My Photos, or make a folder in My Documents.  Once they are saved on your computer, you UPLOAD them into Photobucket.  That is very easy.

Then, once they are in Photobucket, they can be posted here.

OK, so get that far, and let me know how you are doing, and we'll go on from there.  I know, it seems like a lot of work, but it's much easier than it seems!!

    Hi Katts!

Well, to get a personalized siggie, you have to request it from the artist.  Most of the forums have a button that says something like:"Artists New Adopts".  You click on that button to view all the new offerings they have.  Then, you go to the button with the artist's name and make a post to request a siggie.  The artist makes it for you, and you get an email telling you that someone has responded to your post.  You then save it from the post onto your computer in either the My Pictures or My Documents folder I talked about in the first post.

Some of the places offer "snags", which are generic tags like my Hello above.  They say Good Morning, Hello, Merry Christmas, etc, but are not personalized.  You can just save them directly onto your hard drive and then upload them into photobucket, and go from there.  In fact, Katts, why don't you try with the Hello I posted here!

Right click on the picture, select Save Picture As, and save it onto your harddrive.  Then, upload it into Photobucket.  Then, try to post it here!

Let me know when you have it uploaded into Photobucket and I'll tell you how to post it!!

    Hugs~

Hi Kathy!  It really is fun to play around with all the siggie stuff, isn't it?  But, a lot of mine are really big when I post them here.  I hope they aren't messing anyone up!  I can always edit them out if people are having a hard time with them opening really slowly~please, please let me know!!  They don't seem that big in emails!

I have also tried to get them centered, and I've tried everything I know how to do, but I can't get them centered.  There is a "tutorial" post on Recipes; maybe the answer is in there?

    Hugs, my friend!

Katts, you did it, you did it!!!  Way to go!!  So, you must have saved the coffee lady Hello and uploaded it to photobucket, correct?  See, you've got it covered!  Now, to start collecting these fun, addicting (lol) siggies, start playing around on Delphi.

As far as I know, you cannot load pictures onto here from your computer; only from a website such as Photobucket (there are others, but I haven't used them)

BTW, anyone is welcome to use any of the snags I post here!  Please, enjoy them and use them!!

    Hugs~

Re: I understand people are interested in posting "siggies"

    Hi Katts!

I just saw this!  It's very simple to post from Photobucket.  There may be another way to do it, but what I do is this :

Copy the "direct link" option under your Photobucket picture.

Click on the little tree that looks like a photograph next to the smiley here in the reply box.

Paste the direct link you copied on the top line, and then choose an alignment in the box that pops up.

    Then, click "insert"!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

We'll chat more about this after the holiday!

    Amy
