    Good morning, Ruthie and all.

So sorrry that Rose is so sick. What a blessing to have such good friends as you two are. Be careful in that fog and know that, as always, you and she will be in my prayers. Hope the doc helps and it isn't something serious.

I am not sure what our plans are for the day. It is just so nice to have time to spend with my Honey, we don't get near enough. But better that than not being able to stand having him around...lol.

    Hugs,

Good Morning Ruth, Lisa and to all that grace our kitchen table today.

Do hope that I am not too late Ann to wish you a safe flight today and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Ruth sure sorry to hear that Rose is ill. Do hope that the doctor today will find and correct the problem quickly. Be careful now hon on the road today.

Lisa enjoy your day with your honey. No matter what we do with our "boys" they always seem to make it a better day for us...now don't they. :>) Bill will be playing cards with his girls this afternoon so that will give me more time to make goodies for the bunch coming this weekend. Yesterday he was soooo sweet and helped me make the cookies into balls for baking. Since two of the recipes makes 10 doz cookies each, that was a real help.!!!! Today I will be doing the Thumbprint cookies and that receipe makes way less. So far only have one appy done so need to get busy and see what can be done ahead of time with those. For sure there will be more "feet up" today than yesterday..........do I dare mention that last night was not a good one. *sigh*

Just want to wish all a good day for now and will peek in later. Do hope that more of the ladies will drop in today. But do understand how busy everyone is.........well its off to the shower for this gal. Don't want to have you gals having to hold your noses the rest of the day. ***giggle****

    Good afternoon Everyone.

Oh yes, that should be your avatar for sure Helen. :>) We all love that one of you.

Its so good to see you today hon. You was just on my mind awhile ago when I was making some cherry fudge. Guess it was just because its so sweet just like our halo girl.

Lisa which reply button are you using? The one at the bottom does cause alot of folks problems I have read. I have never tried that one, always use the top one and so far no blinking. Just wonder how long our posts can be now? I posted a chart for a lady that before was on two posts on the old board and wonders of wonders it posted here fine all together.

Oh I just have to share a real easy recipe that is going over great with Bill and his friends. Not sure who posted it first on the board. But all there is to it is a bag of chips(any flavor) and a can of frosting (any flavor) melt it all together and pour in the pan............hey can anything be easier. **giggle** Bill's card ladies want the recipe and I am almost ashamed to give it to them.
...hee hhe The first batch was with the Andes mint chips and chocolate frosting. The other is the cherry chips with cream cheese frosting and some chopped maraschino cherries..................Oh how this gal likes easy anymore. LOL

Just taking a short break waiting for my butter to come all the way to room temp. still have the Mexican cookies yet to do. Would be run out of town by this family without them.

Sure hope that our Connie girl is feeling better today. This is sure not the time of the year to be sick........thats for sure.

Deery sure do hope that you make it on today. Did you ever find where to clean out the cookies on your putter? Hope my instructions was readable.....or better yet..do-able.

Lin if you peek in, just want to let you know it was sure good seeing you on the board and in the kitchen. Know you are real busy but just want to remind you to take it easier. Sure don't want to hear of you back down again hon.

Dee , think today is dialysis day. Do hope that your treatment goes fast today for you . I read that Baked beans email to Bill this morning and we both was in tears laughing at the end.........has me giggling again. LOL.....Big Smile

Well break time is over. Any longer and can't get back up. LOL

    Will peek back in later.

Blessed are those that can give without remembering and take without forgetting.

Re: **** PCH Kitchen **** Fri. Dec 21 **** Welcome

Good evening ladies, seems like so many are really busy right now, especially Nancy and Ruth with their baking and making fudge and so forth. I cannot talk myself into making anything this year, not sure if I will in the next few days, maybe. I think Kerry needs a coconut cream pie for Christmas day and some sweet potatoes to go with the ham, not sure what else. We have been invited down to the neighbors but I don't want to take a bug down there, so I may just send Kerry down for a while, whether he goes or not is another story and depends how I feel then too. Took me a much needed nap today, naps are much needed these days.*smile* Nancy do you get lead in the butt sometimes too?*giggles* I know this gal does as well. I took three boxes of food to friend over at the church today and a couple bags of frozen meats and veggies, I think the family will be pleased with what I sent, buying here and there, I told Kerry it is time to pay in forward from our Christmas so many years ago from the church in Missouri and when our children were young. Times are hard for many this year and just seem to get worse. Anyway........ Nancy when will your family start arriving this weekend? Tomorrow? or Sunday? And the rest of your Christmas celebrations will take place when? Has anyone heard from Deery? I lurked for a few mins earlier today and saw that Helen had posted, good to see our sweetie again, and see Lisa is up enjoying her hon as well. Then I passed on through for my nap. Your hard work fudge sounds sooooo easy Nancy, I believe I saw others posting about how easy it was too, glad to see you giving it a review as well. That sounds like something I could maybe make and splash some flour on my face don't you think? Kerry would suggest that be what I do, don't forget the flour on the face hon. *grin* Hope all of our missing friends and family are doing ok, Marie, have not heard from her in a while, I bet she is up to her knees in busyness and her family. Good seeing Lin posted and is getting by, she will probably be busy as well with baking and so forth. Wonder how Charli and Rustin are doing? Glad to see the Dee has had 15 mins cut off her long dialysis time, less time for her to jam and boogie to her music I know. Wonder what some people think of us who have ear plugs listening to our music, what moves we must be making. LOL. I try to remember to not sing out loud as I can hear my singing to the music, but sure do not want others to have to suffer with it. *giggles* Hope Janice is cooping this holiday season with all that is on her shoulders and the fibro. Was Anna leaving today for Las Vegas? Oh if they were, I sure hope they left earlier than this evening when they said the growing crowd would get larger and slow downs get worse. Praying for them a safe flight and a wonderful Christmas with friends and family. Well ladies I have chattered to much already, need to go check on Kerry's doing in the shop and hoping he is down from the bucket of the tractor. *sighhhh* that man is going to make me permanently white headed. *smile* Have a good evening ladies, prayers for Elizabeths healing as well. God Bless our Troops and emergency workers. God Bless our Nation as well, heart felt warmth for a Happy Holiday season full of love and happiness, health and well being, from my house to yours. Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you. Hugs, Connie and Kerry

Re: **** PCH Kitchen **** Fri. Dec 21 **** Welcome

Good evening all! I had a moment to post this morning and I was just about done and we lost power! Didn't have time to wait for it to reboot and just got home and finally resting some. I haven't been running like this in a few years now...yes, I'm tired but it's a good kind of tired. Now, if I could just get a good night's sleep. Doc gave me ambian to try...doesn't work, keeps me awake! Got a coupleappts lined up next week, my eye surgeon and a foot surgeon. Not looking forward to either. I'm just so thankful I've got some energy back, still need to work on my strength and I know that will come in time. Nancy, I'm glad you and Bill got a good laugh about the baked beans! It had me in tears to. I would not reccommend giving to someone who just had any kind of abdomanal procedures....Laughing in stitches will have a whole new meaning. If you didn't get the baked bean e-amil from me, let me know ( I probably don't have your e-mail) it's a very good laugh therapy! *G* Now I wonder what pic Helen is talking about using for her avatar?!?! Now, I know I may look likea "dog" at times but really Helen....you don't want to mislead these gals now...do you???Now if you can find "horns" to put on top of that "cough, cough"....halo??? that might work! ***running, she has a tendency to throw things at me*** Connie, sorry you are down with this bug still. Sounds like it don't want to be evicted just yet. Naps are probably the best thing foryou, hon! OOOoooo, if you make that coconut cream pie, can I have one lil' piece? pweeeese? Coconut is a no-no in this house so it's not worth me ever making any. It's been quite a few years since I've had any. Lisa, I cna't think of any reason your 'puter is "flashing". Maybe Blane is trying to do magic tricks??? Seriously, it might mean your monitor is about to go, at least tht would be my first guess. Did you have a good movie night with the Lil' Princess? Ann should be on her way by now, right? I wish her and Jim a very safe flight and a wonderful holiday! Elizabeth, if you peek in, I hope your shoulder is getting better every day. I hope the pain subsides enough so you can enjoy the holidays. If we don't hear from you, Merry Christmas! Ruth, I love that pic, I want to print it off and tape it to my forhead on some days *G*! How did Rose's appt. go? Sound like you need to be done forthe day and just relax! You've been one busy lady. Well, it's getting late, time for my comfy clothes and sit a bit. I think Dave is already asleep....he work yesterday, last night and all of today so he's one tired pup! and now he's on call! Hopeeveryone has a great night....sleep well!

*Hoot..Hoot.....Night Owl here.......Time....Ever feel tired, but can't sleep, that's me right now.

       Hugs to (((( Ruth..Lisa..Nancy..Helen..Connie ))))

Ruth:  Hoping Rose has a good report from the doctor appt. today, was very nice of you to see she got there.

Lisa: Wishing you the best also on your doctor appt. next week. I was scheduled for a colonoscopy today, but cancelled, too many things to get done, will reschedule the first of the year.

Nancy: Sounds like you sure have been busy baking. Those cookies sound really good. I'm planning on making some Mexican Wedding Cakes & Thumprint Cookies tomorrow. John would be totally satisfied if all I made were Chocolate Chip ones.Stick out tongue

Connie:. Yummy! I love Coconut Cream Pie! We done some shopping today, stopped to eat, no Coconut Cream, so I had a piece of Custard Pie, that's on the top of my favorites also.

Helen: You are still very much in my thoughts since your lose. Today was somewhat sad for me, it marked a year ago today that I lost my younger Brother.

I suppose everyone but me is already for Christmas, I'm such a procrastenator, still have a couple of things to get & havn't wrapped that first thing! I put that off untill the last minute because I don't like doing it No

Everyone have a *Merry Christmas & Happy Holiday*     ~Sande~ Smile
