THE BEST ROLLED SUGAR
COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:
3/4
c. margarine, softened
3/4
c. shortening
2 c.
white granulated sugar
4
eggs
1
t. vanilla extract
5
c. all-purpose flour
2
t. baking powder
1
t. salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cream
butter, shortening and sugar until smooth.
Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in
dry ingredients thoroughly. Cover and
chill for at least one hour or overnight.
Preheat
oven to 400º. Roll dough on floured
surface to ¼” to ½”. Cut into shapes and place 1” apart on ungreased cookie
sheet (I used parchment paper).
Bake
6-8 minutes (1/2” took 8 minutes). Cool
completely on wire racks.
