Pags, don't know if you know this, post your picture in the usual way, then, click on it once while it's in the body of the post.  You will get about 6 little boxes around the picture, use those to bring the picture "in" just don't do it so much that it looks out of shape if you understand what I mean.  I usually do it from the top right corner, then maybe a little from the side.  You can adjust to your heart's content, once you've gotten it the way and size you want, click once again, outside of the picture.  I didn't mind your picture......Gram  Smile

Have you ever tried self discipline, Pags? People shouldn't have to ask anyone to take down an avatar or any other image because it is offensive.. You know you do it to be spiteful and are determined to undermine the boards and tell the mods where they can put their controls. Just because you gather support doesn't make you any more right. Just think about what you are doing to all the others that don't speak to you about your behavior.

And, your last comment speaks volumes.. You aren't going to be told what to do and yet you are begging for understanding??@@

First off.  I don't beg for anything.  Ever.

Second of all.  Why should I be asked to take down icons supporting equal rights?  I wouldn't ask you to take down an icon supporting rights for battered women.  Think about that one for a sec.

Third, you have no idea why I do anything, ever.  Don't assume that you do.  Ever.

Lastly, you should mind your own hatefilled heart, ridge (just so there's no confusion as to whom I'm speaking to) before worrying about the actions of another.

raicleach, if you'd been here for longer than the time that it takes to post 14 times you would know (for a fact) that there are people that can't deal with things the simple way and DO go running to Mommy Reiman to tattle.  That's how I know.  Experience, which you seem to lack.

Thank you Gramofnine!  I'm not sure if that will work in the sig box though.  I'll tool around with it eventually and get it figured out.  Big Smile

    Have a great day.

What you seem to be too dense to understand, Pags, is that I have the right to post ANTI-GAY avatars and icons because that's what I believe.  Your OPINION is no more important than anyone else's.  Got it?  If you post the offensive crap you did a week or so ago, then I have a right to post the opposite opinion of that, if I so choose.

What you are seem to dense to understand, obb, is that I never said you didn't have that right.

Now you're just making stuff up. Confused

Don't forget your racist icons too.  Goodness knows that people should know that you don't like them little mixed kids!

You may actually be able to OBB, but that's called a hate crime in some areas of the country.

Of course, not in the world of "head up your butt" in which you seem to reside, but it is in other areas of the country in which people actually think.

Mel, could you imagine the uproar if someone posted an anti-christian icon?

Now, if I were truly just wanting to push people's buttons, that's the first thing I would have done.  Know what I mean?

Since when is expressing an opinion a hate crime?  Where is the crime being committed there?  A hate crime has to be a punishable crime targeted against an individual or group because of their differences.  Opinions however, at least last time I checked, were not a criminal offense.

And I want to thank Pags for setting me straight on my ability to know something.  Will you also be telling me when I have enough experience to be as knowledgeable as you?

When one states one's opinion in such a manner as to attempt to cause distress or fear, that's a hate crime.  Because attempting to cause distress or fear is assault.  Hitting someone while doing so is assault and battery.

    If you so choose.

I'm just saying that I know how some of the people on this board operate.  You would not seem to have been here long enough to have noticed some things.

Why do you assume that some one said anything to anyone?  Could it not possibly be that the mods saw the offensive material and removed it?  Or do you have a persecution complex and need to place blame on others?

    "In the past 24 hours, we have 480 new discussion(s), 3,474 new post(s), and 887 new user(s)."

Because -- like its really necessary to explain??? -- no one can read, monitor or intercept every single post that appears here in real time. However, if a few unctuous, caviling prigs keep hitting the report button every time their own Victorian sensibilities get chaffed, or -- as is much more likely -- the mood strikes them... or their vendetta genes kick in, then the issue is not about what sort of stuff might be legitimately offensive to most reasonable people, but rather a means of retaliation.

Well, since opinions are words, than the following would mean that opinions can NOT be assult, would it not?

    Assault

At common law, an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact.

An assault is carried out by a threat of bodily harm coupled with an apparent, present ability to cause the harm. It is both a crime and a tort and, therefore, may result in either criminal or civil liability.

    <snip>

    Elements

Generally, the essential elements of assault consist of an act intended to cause an apprehension of harmful or offensive contact that causes apprehension of such contact in the victim.

The act required for an assault must be overt. Although words alone are insufficient, they might create an assault when coupled with some action that indicates the ability to carry out the threat. A mere threat to harm is not an assault; however, a threat combined with a raised fist might be sufficient if it causes a reasonable apprehension of harm in the victim.

This information was taken from a law encyclopedia referenced at http://www.answers.com/topic/assault?cat=biz-fin

I may not have many posts but common sense tells me what I posted to be true.  It is entirely possible that there is NO common sense on this board, but that would be something I need to experience on my own.
