SPICY BACON CHEESEBURGER
ROLL-UP
Serves: Look below
Source: LaDonna
Effort: easy
Comments: I
originally got this recipe from foodguy.
Made some changes to spice it up some and hopefully lower the fat
content a little. It’s absolutely
fantastic.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. lean ground beef or lean ground pork
1 T. dried minced onion
1/2 cup Oscar Myer real bacon bits
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) Pepper jack Velveeta Cheese, cit into ½”
cubes
1 pkg. (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cook ground beef & onion until browned, add bacon bits
and heat through and then drain (if need be).
Return beef to skillet and add Velveeta. Stir over low heat
until cheese is completely melted.
Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes.
Unroll pizza dough onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking
spray.
Pat into 15x8 rectangle. Top evenly with meat mixture.
Roll up starting at one of the long sides.
Rearrange so that the seam is on the bottom.
Bake 25 minutes or until golden.
Take out of oven and let sit about 15 minutes before
slicing.
Cut diagonally into slices to serve.
Meal size: Cut into 8 slices
Appetizer: Cut into 10-12 slices.
Serve with assorted condiments, if desired.
COMMENTS: You could use the Mexican Velveeta cheese if
you can’t find the pepper jack Velveeta cheese.
Or as the original recipe called for, just plain Velveeta cheese.
COMMENTS: Did you know that Velveeta has 1/3 less fat
& calories than chedder cheese.
Velveeta has 6 g of fat and 80 calories/serving.
Cheddar has 9 g. fat and 120 calories/serving
