    Wonderful appetizer! Jalapeno popper dip!

Well, we welcomed in the New Year lat night with this wonderful new dip. Oh my goodness, it was good!

It combined all the flavors of jalapeno poppers with none of the prep!

    Do try it.

"This is an easy cream cheese spread to make, and it tastes just like the jalapeno poppers you wish you could make yourself! The hardest part of this recipe is not eating it all by yourself!"
    INGREDIENTS:

    2 (8 ounce) packages cream
    cheese, softened
    1 cup mayonnaise
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green
    chilies, drained
    2 ounces canned diced
    jalapeno peppers, drained
    1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Stir together cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in green chiles and jalapeno peppers. Pour mixture into a microwave safe serving dish, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    2. Microwave on High until hot, about 3 minutes.

Now...guess where I found this  Wink....anyway, I didn't add a full cup of mayo...but did probably add close to 3/4 cup.

I bought a bottle of diced jalapenos...perfect for this...just scooped out several TBS.

We had Frito scoops, but people were grabbing anything they could find for a dipper.

I did do this in the microwave- and stirred the parmesan in when it was all hot.

Enjoy!  Thank you, Allrecipes, for this recipe.

You sold me with "all of the flavor and none of the prep" LOL. I love poppers, but I'm too lazy to try to make them!

    Thank you!

I was reading some of the reviews on all recipes, alot of people doubled the jalapenos for more kick. Some even subsituted cheddar cheese for the parmesan. This is in my to try pile! Thanks for posting.

Stuffed jalapenos are a must for us and this sounds so easy and yummy!  I wrap my poppers in bacon, so I'm thinking this would be great with some bacon crumbled in it or sprinkled on top. (You know us southerners love our bacon! LOL)

Thanks for the review and the recipe!

This sounds very tasty, Can't wait to give it a try.

Just one quick question please, Did you use the Fresh Parmesan or the Grated Kraft in the Jar?

    Sharon-

I used parmesan from a bag from BJs...it's closer to fresh than container of Kraft ( IMHO), but I'm sure either will do. I usually get ours at a local Italian market, but needed so much for a lot of recipes that I just bought this large bag.

I would never hesitate to use the Kraft- especially when it's something that will be cooked. I have always found that to be great!

    Hope you like it!
