Can anybody help with posting a picture? I tried their instructions, but no good!

Hi.  I have looked at the board about how to do stuff and read their instructions about posting pictures...the little insert picture icon gets me nowhere.  I have my pictures in Photobucket...I even resized it for message boards...but it comes out large and only the left side of the picture...it cuts off more than half of the picture.

    Can anybody help with this?

    Thanks a lot!

You can resize right in the place where you post the link. Below where you put the pic addy you'll see DIMENSIONS. I find that 300x400 works pretty good. That way you can keep your pic full size in phartbucket and only resize it here!

I had the same problem, pictures too big.  Then I read someones suggestion to reduce it to 320x240.  I do this on my computer where I keep my picture files.  Mine is located under "Tools" on the toolbar and then I click on "re-size".  A window pops up that lets me edit the size of the photo.  I then upload the resized pic to photobucket.  I just did it today and it works very well.  Good luck to you.

Adria - Sorry, but I couldn't pass this up. Here is a typo from your reply. Ha Ha

    Where is the quotation icon?

Not a typo, I doo'd it on purpose. We're always calling the kids fartbuckets and I thought it would work good on photobucket...phartbucket...teehee!!!!

Nope, still not working.  I can see more of the picture when I reply to this post, but it only shows the left side when I post it.  I tried and tried, several ways, can't figure out why it won't work for me!  Oh well, forget it...this board is not worth the trouble any more...driving me crazy. Why did they have to complicate everything so much?  I am not a fan of the new board.

SOF, thank you!  Can you please tell me how you did that?  I kept reducing the size and it just wouldn't work for me!  Wow, that's amazing how you did that!

And yes, that's the accident I had on Friday.  Car is totalled.  I walked away, but am still hurt...but getting better and will go back to the doctor tomorrow.  Worst thing is is the burn on my neck and chest.

Sharon, I used the little picture icon an entered the url for your original picture.  If you do that and then click anywhere inside the little pop-up box, it will give you the dimensions of your picture--in this case 640x480.  I just adjusted those figures by half before posting., ie., 320x240.

And I am very glad that you are all right.   Not glad about the residual effects, of course, but I am glad you weren't hurt worse.
