HEALTHY CHOICES GETTING TO KNOW YOU POST

Hi everyone,  I'm one of the newer ones here and got to reading this post, so thought I would join in.  I'm surprised to see 3 from IL and 2 from Rockford area.  I live in Freeport, IL. I moved to NW IL (Elizabeth, IL) from Tinley Park, IL in 1968.  I'm Beth, been married to my DH for 30 years on 9-2.  We have 2 DD, one lives about 1/2 mile south of us and the other about a 1/2 mile west of us.  We have 3 dgk, Hunter is the oldest (11) and just got thru playing baseball.  He was on the All-Star team!  Hit the game winning home run in the first game!  We are all very proud of him!  The team just lost their 2nd game last night,  :(   so no more traveling to Rochelle, about 1 hour 15 min away. :) Then we have Autumn 6 and Xander 4.  They keep me busy, as I watch them after school and during the summer.  I've worked off and on throughout the years, but I've been a SAHM most of the time.  I'd like to find an office job somewhere close, but there's not many jobs out there!  My DH is facing his second heart surgery soon.  We are waiting for the surgeon to get back from vacation next Monday.  Please say a prayer all goes well.  Thanks.  Beth

Hi, My name is Jennifer or Jen.  I must be the baby of the group!!!!!  I am 28, my B-day is 9/27.  I have been married for almost 4 years!!!!  Our ann. is 9/25.  My husband is 10 yrs my senior!!!!  We have 2 kids  DS who is 9 (my DH is not the biological father) and a DD who is 2.  The age difference is wonderful!!!!!!  I have lived in Green River and Rocks Springs for most of my short life!!!!!  Lived in Utah (Price, Vernal and Ogden) all together maybe a year.  I am a SAH mom and have been for 2 years, before then I worked at Mcdonalds as a swing manager.  Not the most glamerious jobs!!!! My DH and I just bought our house in January and are enjoying it!!!!  Not really, everthing seems to be going wrong!!!!  What can you expect from an older home, where everthing is original!!!!!  I ahve started a new program!!!!!  Paul Mckenna.  It has been wonderful, I am full of energy and have lost some weight.  Last I checked 5 but I'm sure it's more now.  I have lost some of my belly and some mass else where (you lady's know what I'm talking about).   As of right now I am trying to build up my food storage and get all the things I need to start making things homemade.  I am tired of all of the presevetives in food ( and as you can't tell I ahve a hard time spelling!).  It takes the same amount of time to do something homemade as it does out of a box!!!!!
