Crock-pot Apple butter
3 cans apple sauce unsweating
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon all spice
1 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup sauterne.( have not been able to found this any more, so i use cooking wine)
In crock-pot add sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves; stir well. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours stirring every 2 hours. Add the cooking wine the last hour of cooking, Spoon into hot sterilized jars and process according to standing canning methods.
About 5 1/2 -pint jars.
This makes your house smell so good. I have a 6 qt crock-pot so i can make quit a bit.
