 Brrrrr!  The weather certainly has taken a chilly turn these past couple of days!  Had a nice bowl of seafood bisque and warm bread for dinner!  

Hope you are all keeping warm and toasty!  

 I started the thread a little early tonight.  I'm going to watch some tv and I'll check back a little later.

 Hi Kim!  Good to see ya'!  It is 55 here right now at 7:30.  Noisy as heck, though!  There is apparently a problem with the guy's water lines next door, as they have been digging up his driveway!  I sure hope it doesn't affect us!  They are nice folks, and have been having $$ difficulties lately, so I hope that whatever it is isn't an expense to them!

Hi kim and Bonnie  just came to check the internet.  Heard on cnn that Barrack Obama just won the Democrat nomination in Iowa and Huckabee won the Rebublican!  ummm what do you guys think about this???

It  is cold here also.  18 this morning....brrrrrr.  Put a pork butt on to slow cook today and warm the kitchen.  It is always cold in the kitchen!  Actually we don't have the heat on just a wood stove in the den and it usually takes care of the house until it turns off this cold!!!

 I wanted to make a pork roast the other day, but DH said to wait till next week!  Oh well!

It is in the mid-50's here.  I don't envy you, Paula!  D-MIL is off at the casino to spend the night with her niece.  Her niece is a high roller (she will spend between $1,000 and $2,000 in the two days she is there!  She plays the $1 and $5 slots!  D-MIL plays pennies!  Niece is a good sport, though, and sits with Mom at the pennies.  She gets so frustrated, though, because Mom will put in a $5 and cash out $10, and put it in her purse, and put in another $5 and cash out $25, and so on and so forth.  Niece will put in $100 (in a penny machine!), and cash out $-0-!!!  They comp her room (I WOULD HOPE SO!!! LOL)  They used to send a plane to Harrisburg to pick her up when she lived back East!  Too rich for my blood!!! 

 DH & I haven't eaten dinner yet, so I'm going to get us something now and I'll be right back!

Good evening Kim, Paula, and Bonnie!  Right now, DH is soaking in the tub, a head cold hit him last night, and he is exhausted. 

Today is so warm outside, I was out barefoot and t-shirt, only about a foot of snow left.  We need some cold and snow.  It actually went above freezing today!  Well, it's a little cold on the feet, but if you stay on the deck were it was shoveled and dry, it's not bad, honestly!  (Crazy Canuck!)

Does NeeNee come on most nights?  If so, HELLO!!!  Miss that gal!

I have never been in a Casino.  It has only been the past couple years where our province has allowed Casinos to be built.  There was a big fancy one built in the town next to us, I do want to go there, but have not yet.  The casinos in our province has to give a certain percentage back to the town and area in which it is built, and they only made provision for so and so many total to be built in our province.  But, hey, you are legal drinking age at 19, so we aren't a perfect provice by a wee little bit!

Hi PaulaB!  So nice to see you here!  And it was great to see you stop by SAHW.  I had a doctor's appt this morning and didn't get back home until late, so I didn't post there today.  I hope you come back everyday.  The group is small, but everyone is sooooo nice!  Pam, our leader, is the sweetest thing ever!  And I was a little shocked by the Iowa vote.

Hi sweet Char!  I'm usually here, but had to get in bed early last night so I missed posting last night.  So glad y'all had a great BD party for DD today.  The pictures were precious.

I had my third and last knee injection today and it was so painful.  It is finally better now.  I recorded Apprentice and am going to watch it now.  I'll be back!

Bonnie how funny I play like DMIL  only I play the 2 cent machine and as soon as I win my money back I cash out and play with their money!!! Put my money back in my pocket and if I don't win it is time for me to go home!  I'm not a big spender by any means! 

I think I told you but my ds works for Harrah's and I couldn't believe the perks they give you if you spend big.  They track all you do!  They know they will get their money back when they fly you in.  Bonnie what cruise line did you go on last if you said I forgot.  I am thinking of going on Royal Carribean in February out of Orlando to the Virgin Islands and St. Thomas.  Is that what you went on???

Hi Char heard you gave a birthday party!!!  How old is she?  Also how was the Fondue Party?

This must be Pork Day. I prepared a pork loin for the oven this morning and DH was supposed to put it in the oven later. He got called away and didn't get back to put it in so I did it whan I got here. That made a very later dinner! That is probably why I am tired too. I was beyond hungry.

We are beginning our warmup here too. 62 on Sunday if they are right.....hope so!

 I watched the caucas on CNN. What a strange system. I don't remember seeing that process before. I think everyone was surprised by the results.

I didn't get to finish talking last night. My computer froze up and I couldn't get back on. DId I mess anything good?

 Hi Paula!  Royal Carribbean is a good line--where did you book through, or did you yet?  If you didn't, please, please, please talk to me first!  I may be able to save you hundreds of dollars!  And no, I'm not a travel agent or associated in any way with one, and I get nothing out of the deal but the knowledge that you saved some $$$!  I do with for anyone who wants me to.  It is just because DH & I have been on so many cruises (somewhere over 35), and we have saving$$$ down to a science!  We went the last time on Holland America to the Panama Canal.  BTW--you do know that the cruise doesn't leave out of Orlando, don't you?

We have cruised all over the Carribbean, so I might be able to give you some points about the various islands as well--especially my favorite--St. Thomas!!! 

NeeNee I am so sorry your shot hurt you so.......boy not like the first one....well hopefully it will work for you dear friend, I know how your knee was really bothering you with that awful pain.......my prayers are still with you on that.....I hope and pray that this really helps with all of it.......you are such a wonderful lady.......hang tight ...

Bonnie I think it leaves out of Tampa but I'll fly into Orlando I think that is correct.  I'll be going with DS.  He will book through Harrah's.  "If" I take anyone with me I have to pay but if I tag along with him and share his room I go for free.  can't get much cheaper than that!  BUT it is a working trip for him so I'll be alone most of the time...I'm not for sure what I'm going to do.  I am thinking about it especially since they have pushed the passport restriction back.  I haven't applied yet for mine.
