    Happy Wednesday!

    Photobucket

    Good Morning Junies!

I guess winter will be returning, only in the 30's today. Sure lost alot of our snow in those warm days. But still some out there, especially where it was piled. I'm sure we'll get more soon enough.

That new Crockpot Pork Roast I tried last night was very good.  Later on I'll post the recipe for you.

Not sure what I'm making tonight, I have to get groceries today, maybe something will jump in the cart for supper!

I worked most of the morning on getting my house all back in order.  I ended up moving all the furniture around. Just felt like doing something different. Which reminds me, I forgot to take pics of my new computer hutch to show you,  I'll have to get the camera out today and do it.  I want to try and get some nice pics of Maggie too, I found a cute "doggie" frame and I want to get a pic of her in it.

Today I may get out a puzzle and start on that.  This is the time of year I like to have one set up in the dining room. Kids like to work on it too.  Bought a new one last week, it was a special edition one for Burpee Seeds, so it has flowers on it, real gardeny looking, also included a bonus pack of seeds!

Margie - wow that is warm!  I sure hear ya on those hot flashes!  It is so warm in this house!  We have the wood burner heating the house now and it keeps it about 75º in here.  I've been wearing T-shirts and shorts in the house!  I was just a sweatin' yesterday moving all the furniture around and cleaning.  If anyone would come to the door, they'd probably look at me and laugh! I can't even put my flannel jammies on.  But,  it sure is saving the $$ not using any LP.  Thank goodness Royce had alot of wood ready for this winter.  We go through alot.

Laura - keeping your FiL in my prayers and sending all of you hugs.

So good to see Charlene post yesterday, now if we can only round up a few more of the missing Junes!

Sorry I missed the chat last night, I had intentions, but I sat down to watch the Biggest Loser and fell asleep! Woke up to the late news.  Let me know when y'all are gonna chat again! Even if the kids are on the puter, I can jump on my laptop.

    Hugs to all.............................................................patti

    Happy Fall !

Re: June Cleaver Club Wednesday 1/9/08

Good morning Margie and all to come.  It's 60's here at 6 am and to get to about 65 then drop in the afternoon.  Got a bit of rain overnight but most of the bad weather is headed north, we are just getting colder.  Head for the doctor today for my physical so will have her check out my sinuses.  Then on to get Holly's meds and the library then lunch with Ed then on to work.  Have a chemo hookup today.  Most of us in church are either getting over a cold or have it and the house where we have bible study has flu in it so cancelled today since so many are not quite up to par.

Margie, hope  Emily is feeling better.  Is she watching what foods seem to make her worse?  Wouldn't hurt for her to keep a food diary and see when her IBS acts up and after what foods.  Everyone is different but greasy foods, spicy foods, red meats can be triggers for many.  Hope you have a good day.

Patti, has your weather settled down?   Glad the cable guy came finally.

Hope you all have a good day.

Holly's pig is coming along.  Not moving alot and eating and drinking a bit.  she continues to nurse him.

Well, need to get moving as I have to be out of here soon to get to the doctor.

    Good morning!

Colder 38 & windy here & not supposed to get any warmer. We have just a little water leaking into the basement, nothing that will flood it, just enough to make a mess; happens whenever we've had lots of rain.

Nothing much planned, will work in bedroom or on organizing things in the basement. Making lasagna bolognese & a salad for supper.

Margie, I miss chatting with you too, hope we can soon! Take it easy & keep cool GF!!

Patti, our snow is all gone, but we didn't have nearly as much as you did. Nice you are able to save money with the woodburner! Forgot Biggest Loser was on; who had to leave?

Jill, sounds like you have a full day! Enjoy lunch with Ed & hope you can relax this evening.

Deb, sorry you got woke up, happens here a lot.  Sad  Hope you get your nap!!

Laura, continued prayers for FIL, hope he is doing well this AM. Hope we can chat soon!

Not sure who else I wanted to address, will go fix breakfast & check in later. Hope everyone has a good day!!

    hugs, Lisa

Happy WEdnesday Everyone! Thanks Margie for the good morning welcome! It looks like a clioudy but warm day here in CT, with rain by late morning. I guess I won't be taking a walk today, but I did  go on my treadmil, and I jumproped too. WE enclosed our deck over three years ago, and thats where I jumprope. You need a lot of space, so with a cathedral ceiloing, I have plenty of room.

My husband went off to work. I never did tell anyone much about him. He is 55 years old-56 in April. he retired in July from being a letter carrier with the USPS. Now he has another full time job with a privste firm that processes mail for companies. he loves his job so much, especially since he's not out in the bad weather anymore. It's a M-F job, and he's loves having weekends off. He didn't have that pleasure with his other job. The job is working out very well, and we're both so happpy that I could stay at home.

I haven't done too much today-yet! I did fold and put away the laundry I washed yesterday. I have some ironing to do, and I'm not sure what e;se I'll do. There is always something, I just have to figure out what it is!

Easy dinner tonight. I'm having the rest of the velvetta casserole we had on Monday night, and a salad. My husband and I don't really diet, but we do try to take care of ourselves by watching our portions, excercising. WE have food lke light mayonnaise, light salad dressings. It wasen't hard to get used too, after a while, it becomes a way of life. When my husband retired, he was worried he would gain weight, since he walked his mail route. He has gained a little weight, but with a change in eating habits, and excercising, I think he'll be fine. The holidays are such an easy time to gain weight. WE both didn't watch as carefully as usual, but now it's a New year, it's time to get strict about it!

Thats it for now. Have a good day everyone!

    Good Morning June friends

I'm asking for prayer again - FIL's surgery went well, they had to do a quadruple by-pass, surgeon said all went well. But this morning doctor called, they have to take him back into surgery, there is too much bleeding around the lungs. Think we'll go back to hospital to be with MIL during surgery. It's difficult to wait around for surgery results.

    Thanks again for your prayers!

Good morning ladies, I finally got on the BB, I have been busy shopping and running around, DH keeps me busy. We had such a wonderful day yesterday, it was about 60 degrees, and DH took the day off, and we went down to the coast in Freeport, shopping our fool heads off at LL Bean. They had 60 percent off some items, and then we visited the outlet store also, and got some good bargains. I brought a pair of black swede shoes, that you slip on like moccasins, and they are so comfortable. I also brout a new sweatshirt, and their wonderful SF Blueberry Jam. My DS's birthday is coming up at the end of the month, and we brought him a framed picture of Bar Harbor, here in Maine, it is of Mount Cadillac, and the shores of Bar Harbor, his favorite place. They shipped it to California for me,  so I don't have to worry about his present.

We also went to Timberland, where DH brought himself 3 shirts, and he also brought some snowblower mittens and gloves at LL Bean also. He usually doen't buy much, but he found a lot of good items. I walked until I almost dropped, what good exercise, that is exactly what I need. I lost 2 1/2 lbs. this week and I am happy about that. We are going to go again to LL Bean's again at the end of March, when they have their end of winter sale, and they have some really good bargains.

Hope everone has been healthy and good, I didn't read the posts yet, but waving to everyone, will address you all later. I slept in this morning, as I was tired from yesterday's walking, it was great, though. Today is a little foggy out, about 40 degrees, we are expecting a big storm, Monday, so will enjoy this nice weather for a change. Have to go do some chores, that is if Belle, my Fox Terrier, will get her head off of my foot long enough, Lol. I have steak out for supper, so that will be pretty easy to fix. Will chat later!!

    Hi Junes

Sure wish we could get our computer working right, some days it won't load at all, we may be taking it in soon, or getting a new one!!  Of course the kids are all for the new one!

Dowie, keeping FIL in our prayers, please let us know how he is doing

We have a ice day today - no school - everything was melting last night, then it snowed and froze, said on the news this AM that alot of roads - including the main highways are ice covered - very slippery.  So...we all slept in, now getting everyone going, will go outside a bit, maybe go snowshoeing around the yard, the sun is shining and it looks beautiful out!

Patti, we also rearragned furniture, amazing what old furniture can look like in a different arrangement!!  Still finding things I packed away, need to fill in a few empty spaces, although Mike thinks the less out the better!!

Better get the kids going, Mike is still sleeping, so need to keep them quiet also

    Later........Jolene

Good morning everyone!  I finally got all the kids off to school and can settle down with a cup of coffee before starting on house work.  I stayed up way to late last night watching a movie and Im paying for it this morning!  I dont know whether Netflix is a godsend or evil. LOL (maybe extra coffee will help! )  I need to get motivated so that I can get down to the basement and work on it.  My goal is to have a finished basement by winters end.  If nothing else I need to clear a path for the kids to a least get to their bedrooms easier.

I got a call last night to take a 16 year old boy.  (my husband and I do Fostercare)  It always makes me nervous when a new child moves in.  I hope it works out.

Laura, I am sorry to hear about Fil and will include him in my prayers.

Thanks again for the warm welcome from you all.

    Have a wonderful day!

Good morning all! It's so nice to come to a cheery hello and you include us newbies too! Thanks Margie for being the hostess with the mostess :)

I'm praying for the fil. May God guide the hands and minds of the surgeons and all care givers. May He be with and comfort the family.

My ds is still home sick today. He hated missing speech practice (reader's theatre) this a.m. and he actually hates missing school. (I do too lol)

I'm beginning to feel the crud that he and dh have too. Hopeing to ward it off.

I actually have a chicken done that I cooked in the crockpot and now am going to roll out noodles to go in the soup. Sounds just like what the doctor ordered, huh? I may throw stuff into the bread maker to make a fresh loaf of bread to go with it.

A friend of mine is taking me out today for lunch as one restaurant here in town is featuring monte cristo sandwiches for lunch. YUM. Then we'll hit the quilt shop that is having a sale today. I need to stock up on some battings.

Hello again to everyone! Have a good day!

Hello everyone! I'm back. I've had a busy morning since I posted earlier this morning. See, I knew I could find something to do! I ironed, cleaned the bathroom, and did some general cleaning up! It's a dreary day, and now I have no ambition! Plan on watching my soaps later on, thats always entertaining!

Kristy, hello! WE have netflex too. Isn't it great! Sure beats going to the video store. My husband loves how we could see a review, and the star rating before making a selection.

Thats wonderful how you take in foster children. I always admired people who do that. I for one wouldn't be a good candidate, because I would become too attached, and when they had to leave, I would be devastated. My step sons keep me busy when they are here. They are not little, but they way they act, I sometimes wonder!!

    Bye for now,

    Denise
