Good Day ALL!!!
Microsoft, in it's infinite wisdom, foisted a security update on my computer, rending the ToH foreums and groups completely inaccessible. I had to do a system restore to yesterday before the update, then the update appeared again...grr....and it sent me a notice saying that I had a hardware conflict...I haven't put any new hardware on this computer in a couple of years...other than a new mouse or keyboard...and that, more than a year back. I removed an unused sample program and Irfan, both of which were new in the last 6 months, and Bob's yer uncle, no connection problems. But why can't I get here using...oh, what the hey....something about being grateful for small mercies.
It's grey and cloudy here, 37F, and I want some sun!!!...2 days of sun since before Christmas...I'll go stir crazy! It could at least pretend to be winter, and drop some snow here and there...
Kozy, I'm glad to hear it's been cleaned and all. I lived in a farmhouse where the second kitchen was rarely used, but the owner rented out the other side of the house, so they started using the wood stove for heating...unclean chimney, wrong wood, excessively hot fire...you can guess the result....chimney fire. Happily, it only affected the chimney and not the rest of the house. It could have been so much worse. That being said, it makes me happy to know the furnace guy was on top of that one.
