    HomestyleAR:
I think the mass fast produced sets being sold on by the thousands for home shopping maybe aren't getting the quality control as the sets made in smaller amounts?

When I did a search on them awhile back after seeing them on HSN, I found a comment from one person who said he contacted the company, and was told they are produced in varying degrees of quality. According to him, they said they produced higher quality sets for higher prices, and lower quality sets for lower prices so folks from all economic levels would be able to afford them.

Now, I didn't know the poster, so I have no idea, but if what he said is true, I'm thinking I'd rather go without than forgo the quality. I'm also thinking, this is a relatively new product, so perhaps the price will come down at some point, making the higher quality sets attainable for those of us who don't have money to burn?

My parents bought theirs the first time they ever saw them on tv.  They watch the shopping channels frequently so it may have been the first time they were on tv.  They use them a lot with no problems.  I do wonder if it's because they're trying to produce them a lot faster since they seem to sell out a lot.  I don't know if I could ship them back. I  didn't keep the box and the information that came with them only gave a 30 day period to return them.  It's been about 90 days now.  I still use them but the paint keeps chipping in small amounts on the outside of the pans.  I've learned to use my Wolfgang Puck Grill/Griddle combo for any kind of marinated meats I want to grill indoors and the Calphalon One Hard Annodized pan for any other type of sugary marinades or sauces.  I've talked to others who have had worse issues than I have with these pans so can't say I'd recommend them.  I sure can't blame my parents for buying them for my sister and me for Christmas since they've had such success with using theirs.  On the other hand, they didn't get a set like we did but just the individual grill pan and a skillet.  The ones they gave us were the 6 piece sets.

Re: I got the Green Pan cookware set

Many people are now complaining about the quality of this cookware.  I went through a supervisor at HSN & had my set exchanged.  I did this after trying to reach the manufacturer - no luck - & then discovering that the product is made by HSN's own company & therefore hyped on air.  My second set came with the same problems as the 1st, i.e., non-stick quickly wearing off and the bottom of the pans chipping and/or scratching off.  It seems that the bottom has but a single coating & easily comes off.  More and more people are finding this product to be significantly flawed & overpriced.  I have written to Good Housekeeping about having given the product their "seal of approval".  I rec'd a quick response back stating that they are in the process of investigating the possibility of removing their seal based upon the number of complaints being rec'd.  I wish I could warn others to stay away from this product.  There are much better sets out there for equal or less money & they, atleast, will not cost a small fortune to return - HSN does not refund shipping costs.

If you want to return your parent's set - call HSN & speak to a supervisor in the customer service dept. - only a supervisor can help you after 30 days - .  I hope you are successful.  Good-luck.

And don't forget it is made in CHINA and doesn't helpour economy at all if you buy it, except the people who buy it for maybe $10.00 a set and then peddle it to you.

Is this stuff from QVC or HAN? I watch QVC on Sundays at noon. I have bought a lot then.  But have not heard of the Green Set.

My set is still good as new.  It's a shame a product with great potential isn't being made up to quality.  It seems like it's get the money and to heck with the complaints.   I guess I got lucky and got a good set but I won't be buying anymore products from this company.
