For variety, stir in 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or small can of drained corn to the beef mixture before filling the biscuit cups.

    Prep: 5 min - Cook: 25 min

    1 pound ground beef
    2 to 3 tablespoons McCormick® 1 Step Seasoning: Tex-Mex
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (12 ounces) refrigerated biscuits

    1. Brown ground beef; drain. Add 1 Step and tomato sauce. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes; stir occasionally.

    2. Press biscuit dough into cups of medium-sized greased muffin pan. Spoon meat filling into each cup (about 2 tablespoons).

    3. Bake at 400°F 10 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle each cup with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, or chopped tomato, if desired.

These look so yummy! I would definitely add the cheese. They even sound like the left-overs would be good for breakfast, lol. We always have extra taco shells that go stale as it is just me and DD, so this looks ike it would be perfect for us as I could buy the little can of biscuits and freeze extra meat separately for another use.

I think my church kids would like these. I will bake the biscuits over the backs of custard cups to make them larger, and add a little corn with the meat (definitely cheese) and serve with baked beans. YUMMY!

    Rosie, quick question for you.

I cant find the McCormick 1 Step Seasoning Tex-Mex anywhere.

By the 1 step seasoning do you mean the packaged McCormick Chili Tex Mex seasoning? I even went to their site and that’s all I could find.
    Thanks.

Alliea this is the one I found on my search and it’s Tex Mex but didn‘t say 1 step. I usually try to find the exact ingredient if I can the first time I try a recipe, but will try this if I can’t. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Alliea, now I can stop looking for it. It was way back in 2005 they discontinued it too LOL. That has happened to me several times in the last couple of years trying to find an ingredient. Guess I'll use the Tex Mex Chili mix instead.
