That's the only place here you're going to find sun today Patty.  It's beginning to snow (ugly word) and we're supposed to have the coldest temps for the whole winter so far, this weekend.  I'm dreading it believe me.

Tonight we're having the leftover roast we had last night, I'll fix another veggie and some mashed potatoes to go with it.  The sweet potato last night was wonderful, but want mashed for tonight.  Have a good rest of the day.......Gram  Smile

…….Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.

Hi. we have our dinner at noon. I work 2nd and DH  works 3rd. We had baked pork chops with stuffing, mashed tators and gravy and peas. Than later we'll have a piece of hickery nut pie.  Our weather today is gray and cold. Well you all have a good day.

My hubby won't be home for dinner.  He's working at our local polling place next election and tonight is the training session.  So I think I'll make myself a catfish burrito, and give the kitties a bit of catfish as a treat.  My husband is not much of a fish eater.

The bag is now clearly catless, and there's a very foul odor coming from the fan.

    I haven't decided completely yet...

I have some frozen cooked chicken and have thought of Chicken Alfredo (but prefer fresh mushrooms and all I have are canned)

or Spagetti....anybody have an opinion??*LOL* (I have frozen sauce too!)

    HELP!

I'm new to this - well not new to Taste of Home but new to posting on this site.  I found it after searching for substitution in  Chkn Wild Rice Chowder (p.7/Jan.feb08/S&D).  Hope you don't mind that I jumped in on your conversation. We're having this for dinner tonight along w/ parmesan walnut muffins and banana split dessert (if I ever make it to the store!).  I'd like to know if using 1T cornstarch would work instead of 3Tflour. If/how it would change taste, appearance or consitiencey?  It's snowing here - [:'(], not too cold though - thankfully.  Thanks so much for your input.

Godd afternoon.  It is partly sunny and cold here today.  We are expecting that very cold front to come through this weekend.  I want Spring NOW!

Tonight we are having a caserole of noodles, left over chicken breasts and veggies made with cream of mushroom soup and cheese.  Hope it is good.  Have not had it before.  Will have a salad to go with it.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

your cornstarch might almost be a smoother thickener....your soup sounds good and hot!!!

    Welcome!!!!!

Whoa!  That was fast!  Thank you for the reply and I'm off to the store - just needed affirmation I guess (don't care for flour as thickener).  Have a blessed day

What a lovely thing to say, Patty!  I really like that. Smile

As for Supper this evening...Since Bob and I didn't do our Super Stock Up Shopping last night, we WILL be going to the Grocery store tonight.  Looking at the ever larger snow flakes falling from the sky just now, I think we'll regret not shopping yesterday BIG TIME. Tongue Tied

In any case, that's my long-winded way of saying I don't have any notion as to what we'll be noshin' upon for Supper. Embarrassed

Howdy, AK!  FWIW, I vote for the Spaghetti.  No mushrooms needed, canned or otherwise.  What time shall I be there???  I'll bring some Garlic Bread. Wink

A Big ChicagoLand Kitchen Chat Welcome to you, ARoss!  It's nice to "meet" you & I hope we'll see you here often. Smile

Good afternoon Patty! Good afternoon my fellow kitchen buddies!

Tonight is bunko night for January, so dinner will be what ever the host decides. She is from Holland, so we might get to taste some neat treats.

    Have a great evening all.

I'm on my way, AK!  Make lots and lots of Spaghetti because I am a HUNGRY person! Smile

BTW...I think the Ragu People make a rather decent jar of Alfredo.  Have you ever tried it???
