    *~*T & T Focaccia Dough Recipe*~*

I no longer have the name of the poster for this recipe...but this hase become one of my family's favorite bread recipes...quite easy to make too using a bread machine!

Hope you'll give it a try!

    Focaccia Dough
    (again in the bread maker)
    1 c. water, 80 degrees
    1/3c. olive oil
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. bread flour
1 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast

    Asiago topping-
    2/3-3/4 c. shredded asiago cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder (don't use garlic salt)
1 tsp. onion powder (not salt)
1 tsp. crushed basil, oregano and rosemary
    1/4 c. olive oil

Use dough setting and add ingredients in order. At the first beep, add 2 tsp. italian seasoning. When dough is finished, remove from pan and press dough into a lightly oiled jelly roll pan. Be sure to oil your hands, this dough is a bit sticky. Make dents in the rolled out dough with your fingertips; cover with a dish towel and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, or until almost doubled. Prepare topping, mixing in a bowl until moist, add more oil if necessary. Press fingers into holes again. With a pastry brush, spread mixture over top of focaccia, you may need to spread it out a lot, or you can add more topping ingredients to cover to your liking. I like a thicker topping. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.

Thank you for sharing with us. I haven't used my breadmaker yet. Will have to give it a go with this. Huh?

I can't wait to make this.  I dug my bread machine out in November and have been making rolls and bread since.  I don't bake in my machine.  Just mix the dough and then form and bake in the oven.  I am excited to try this recipe for a new something different.  Anyone else have some other toppings they like on Focaccia too?

This recipe is really pretty easy to make and it absolutely wonderful!  My HS son's friends devoured a whole loaf one night and now ask him...when is your mom making that awesome bread again - LOL!  I sure wish I had the name of the original poster -- you can see her name is Nancy - it's a great recipe!

This is WONDERFUL! Thanks so much Teddys Mom for the great recipe. I didn't have asiago cheese so replaced it with shredded parmesan and it took a little longer than 20 minutes to get as brown as we like. Excellent recipe - printed off and added to my file, will definitely make again!
