spring?????

yesterday afternoon i heard "spring peepers" in the wetlands at the end of the st.  last night i walked the dogs in shorts and a t-shirt.......this morning i had on a winter jacket....but i did see a robin.....we are going to have temps from the 60's daytime and 40/50's at night...tis a wonder everyone doesn't have a cold!!!

Gosh, carrotop, you heard spring peepers in January? Wow!

Robins show up here in large flocks in late winter. I have not yet seen them. Last year while I was out walking I saw a huge flock of robins in two silver maple trees. There were so many that I stopped to count them (roughly) -- there were over 150 birds.

We have cold weather right now, very wintery.  Sometimes we get a little January thaw like you had. 

I am really looking forward to spring.

you are so lucky you get to see robins..occasionally we'll get a glimpse of a robin..i also miss the blue jays..

we see robins the end of jan or beginning of feb. we have blue jays all year long... i'd sooner robins but we do have piliated woodpeckers. they have been back for a week or so.

Our robins are a few months away yet.....they always are a sign of spring to me.

I get so excited when I see them because I know what follows------keep them warm for me

Hopefully we will  have an early spring........sigh
