Good afternoon,
Sunny here but you don’t want to know the temperature. Suffice
to say that if any groundhog managed to dig himself out of 5 feet of snow, he’d
see his shadow but he’d be frozen before he could dash for cover. Plus, we WILL
have 2 or more months of winter here no matter what some rodent says. I doubt
if there are any groundhogs in this area.
Zora, sorry you had such a blue day yesterday. We do appreciate
all you do for us. And I had to smile about chocolate – the cure all for
anything that ails you. Finally scientist found out what we all have known
forever – that chocolate rules!
Sue, I’m sorry about your friend. Very sad for her family and
friends.
Has anyone heard from Mabel? I believe it’s been a while since
she posted. Hope all is well with her and Floyd.
Paula, hope you and your DH
are feeling better. Good wishes for your friend Dee, also. Cell phones are a
nuisance but they do not interfere with any hospital equipment even though they
do interfere with other people enjoying peace and quiet around them. Some
people are so rude when they’re attached to their cell phone.
I’m going to try to make that Orange Marmalade bread, Lois. Love
anything with orange in it, and if the taste improves, so much the better.
Sherry, I’m sorry that shot didn’t work for your DH. What a
shame. Hope they find something that does help.
Anne, congratulations on acquiring the Wii I’ve been eying those
for a while now. I know you need to contort while playing it but maybe that’s
what I need to get me off this chair. Do you think I could convince the
insurance company that I need one for my health? I understand how you feel
about that addition.
Rosie, hope your life stops spinning out of control. It’s hard
to have to deal with everyone’s needs and problems. And doesn’t leave much time
for yourself. And then when you do get time – no internet! That’s just too
cruel. Happy Birthday to Thomas. Imagine being 7 years old. Wow!
Randi, I’m sorry about problems with your Mom. I know how hard
it is to be so far away and feeling helpless. Hope somebody sorts out the
situation with the phones. I don’t understand why, even if they don’t speak
English, they wouldn’t realize that your Mom needs to keep in touch with her
family. Your house sounds so fabulous and I’d love to see pictures of the
floors when they are finished.
Beverly, sounds like you’ve got a busy household today. Hope it
slows down some so you can enjoy the weekend.
Your DH sounds like mine, Beth. I’m laughing about him stealing
cupboard knobs. TJ will also help himself to anything that he feels he needs
for his projects. I don’t want your hot weather but could you send couple of
warm breezes up here, please?
Cilla, you always make me tired just reading about your busy
life. Hope you get a while to just sit and relax.
Have fun watching the big game tomorrow, Nancy Z. TJ will watch
it also. He and Elizabeth get on the phone and yell at each other during all
these games. I don’t watch them but they seem to enjoy watching them together
even though they’re 500 miles apart.
Tippy, you’ve got yourself a 4 year old genius. It’s kind of sad
that even tiny tots are aware of the dangers in this world. Have a productive
day.
Penny, it’s awful that your DH has to pay for somebody else’s
stupidity. And after such a long time. Hope this resolves itself. Don’t blame
your DH for being so upset, plus it must be inconvenient for both of you.
Margaret, so glad your internet is working again. It’s so
frustrating when it’s not. Even if you have a million other things to do and
shouldn’t be surfing, just not having it is bad.
Lynne, hope you’re feeling better. Seems like it’s been one
thing after another plaguing you. Do your grandchildren live 2 and a half hours
away? Or are they playing hockey out of town? Hope you don’t get any more snow.
This is beginning to take on the characteristics of a novel, so
I’ll finish and get things done around here that need to be done. I just
noticed a lone Santa sitting on a corner shelf. Must see if there are anymore
lurking about.
Sending hugs and waves to everyone, present and absent, have a
wonderful weekend.
Grace
