First of all, I would like to say hello to all of you recipe buffs who have a plethora of recipes already in your kitchen and book shelves, but still need to come to these boards everyday to see what is new and to find new recipes. I have so many recipes saved, that I will never be able to make all of them in my lifetime. But they do come in very handy when I need to find a certain recipe for something I want to fix for my DH and myself. We are both diabetic, and I try to find the recipes that are both healthy and tasty for our daily meals.
It will take me awhile to learn how to navigate through the many forums and threads here, but I will eventually get the hang of it....just have patience with me. I am not new to the Taste of Home website and message boards. I used to come here all the time a few years ago, but when I developed the Type 2 diabetes, the recipes I had collected from the forum weren't the best for me. I was just too tempted to make some of the yummy recipes I found (ie: crawling cakes, all varieties of brownies, donuts, cakes, pies, and cookies... Did I tell you that I love to bake?)
Anyway, I had to get my diabetes in check first, then learn what I needed to about the foods I was allowed and not allowed to eat. I also needed to lose some on my excess weight, and just couldn't do it and come to this website, too. I needed a break from all the recipes for awhile. Anyway, I am back and looking forward to meeting some new friends. I saw a couple of posters from the older TOH message boards here. Hello to all!
