Oh the  frosting recipe sounds so easy. I  hate  the long drawn out ones They taste good but I like the simplified ones and of course I love Chocolate...  Thanks Tippy..

Morning! Well, the cleaning lady called my cell at 7:20am and left a message. She has a horrible cold (sounds terrible) and rescheduled for the 20th. That's fine...so glad she is considerate of Dad's & his health...I was sleeping so soundly when the alarm went off...oh, well...

Zora, have you been looking at my computer??? LOL Guess I know what need to do today!! Good Luck to Bob... I have done some stuff (coin club member roster) on Excel...no expert...just can use it...

Tippy, hope you feel better. Be careful in that weather!!

Happy Birthday, Ce!! Hope your day is special!!

Roberta, prayers for your Dad today. Also, some lady left you a review on your Cabbage Rolls...

You mean you don't have to buy frosting in a can?  lol.    Ce, have a warm birthday.  I am picking out a nice present for you from the trash and treasure boxes (40 so far) on my lanai. What color artificial flowers do you prefer?  And maybe a nice basket for them - or a clear glass vase.  Or a doble, queen, or king coverlet?  A new wok is available.   Nancy B

Good Morning Everyone! Huge hugs for all who need them today, for whatever reason. Big Smile

Sunny and -11*C. Let me check how to convert that. Okay, that's 12.2*F, for all you U.S. folks. It's a lot warmer here than at Grace's place.

I just got home from working an evening/overnight shift. I was able to get a little shut-eye. It's a bit cool in this room, so I'll add a couple pieces wood to the fire in the stove.

Welcome to CS, James! Please let us know when your cookbook is finished. Sounds really good!

Today I need to reorganize this room so I can FIND things. What a disaster!

But first, I need breakfast. Already had a bowl of custard DH made last night while I was working. Yum! Then I had a cookie and now I'm eating crackers. Not really a good breakfast, so I'll have to quit snacking and EAT something more nutritious, huh?

Have a productive day! CYL    JP

Good afternoon from a cold Indiana, it's only 16 out there, brrrrr.  Weatherman said a storm alert is starting tonight at 7:00, supposed to get 2-5 in. of snow with blowing, we'll see.

Happy Birthday Ce, hope you have the best day ever.

Waiting on a call from the vet as we speak to see how Murphy is, DH anxious, sure do hope he's ok, he's such a big part of us & such a love.

DD called, she's sick, she has respiratory MRSA, can't work, should be able to go back on Wed., always something.  Hope the kids don't get it.

DD #2 called, planning a surprise birthday party for her DH & wanted to know how much meat to get for approximately 60 people.  How am I supposed to know that?  LOL!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Our ice has started and it is really coming down fast, boy am I glad we cancelled the Drs. appointment.

I have been trying to clean out files on my computer but there are so many that I don't get many done.

Need to go and put on the chicken for the casserole and what is left I am going to make some chicken salad. That will be for tomorrow.

I already received the refund for the Flash Drive that I didn't get, that was fast. My DD already has plans for it, she has a book coming up in a few minutes to bid on.

Had to come back and say Music"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU CE!" Music    Are you in the midst of doing income taxes?  If so take a break today, it's your Birthday!     Have an extra piece of cake for all of us!  Cake

Tippy, I'm so sorry about your brother, I think depression is much harder to deal with than physical ailments.

I guess I told you, our oldest son gave us a cell phone and plan for our Christmas present.    Yesterday Floyd called his sister, after he hung up I plugged it in to charge.   When I opened it this morning, it said "browser roaming",   OK, I'm ignorant about cell phones,  did he push the internet button by mistake?      There are so many little buttons on the side of that phone, I'm afraid I'm going to push somthing to launch me into outer space, which at times may not be a bad idea!   Big Smile

Happy Birthday, Ce! Have a wonderfully happy day full of fun and new experiences!

I understand you can substitute apple juice for the bourbon in Bourbon Chicken. I also read somewhere that you can add Oyster Sauce, but I can’t remember where and how much. Apparently it resembles the mall Bourbon Chicken. Personally I didn’t taste the bourbon but when I have a drink it’s always bourbon and pepsi, so I probably wouldn’t notice.

I probably don’t need to tell you that it’s ridiculously cold here. I wanted to go out there and take some pictures but I don’t want my camera to break.

Zora, I taught myself how to use Excel and didn't find it difficult. The Help files are really good.

While you’re all cleaning your computers, and deleting old files, programs and emails, don’t forget to defragment and run disc cleanup. I believe they’re in you accessories - system tools, and they really do save an awful lot of space on the computer. Also clear the temporary internet files and the cache.

    Have a great afternoon.

Grace I think that some of us can relate to your temps because the weatherman said that it is coming from Canada, boy is it cold!!!  The wind is howling from the east with the wind chill below 0.  We did not stay out any longer than it took to get to and from the car.  DH "thinks" that his neck is some better, he goes back on Wed. for another treatment.

I would clean out my computer but do not know where to start.  About every week I delete temp. files and then manually delete cookies, leaving the ones for Reiman.  I think that is why I kept having to "sign in" .  Helen I agree with you on this "thing" being a mystery, I know that there are so many things that I could do but just know how or where to start.

Sandy we were going to go to the store and get the ingredients for veg soup and when we got in the car there was a mist on the windshield and when DH turned on the wipers it was ice, so we headed straight for home.

We were supposed to go to GD's to babysit in the morning but think that we will have to cancel that, it is an hour drive and we are going to get more snow tonight.  The day of just wanting to get out in the snow has long since past us.

I hope that those of you that are not feeling quite up to par will get better soon.

    Will go again,  till later,

Hi, For those of you who want to put in the weather thingy I copied the instructions that the Alaska_Prof told me.  Hope it works for all of you.

Just remember those aren't parenthesis marks, they are the square one's that are next to the P in that line.

    Good luck.

Hello to Gat and James too, if you are reading this

It has been a very wintry day here today.  I had both Tristan and Zachary, because the weather closed the schools today.  We have been having ice and freezing rain all day.  Everything is coated with a layer of ice.  And very gray outside.  Cold too.

Happy Birthday Ce.  I'm posting this siggie that someone on the board made me back when we could post them before.  I was thinking it was you.  I just wanted to comment that birthday is misspelled.   I don't want you to think I am unappreciative, because I am very grateful for everyone that has made siggies for me.    I hope you are having a wonderful day, and hope to see you on the CS thread again soon.

I need to get off.  We have our sing-along at 6:00, less than 30 minutes from now.  I forgot about the last one, so don't want to miss tonight.  We had a young man, who I am acquainted with, die yesterday due to heart problems.  He was only in his 50's. He lived in this apt. bldg. along with his mother who lives here too.

There have been some good sounding recipes posted today.  Thanks to all who posted them.

I hope everyone is having a good day.  I might try to come back later.  I can vouch for being able to fall asleep during a commercial on TV.  I missed the Final Jeopardy question tonight, so if anyone knows who won, let me know.  It's the teen tournament, and one of them was way ahead of the other two.  I can't even remember what the subject of the question was.

    Hugs and Prayers for all.

    Margaret

BETH~~I went to the website but it is a BIG place. Where do I put in my city? Where do I pick a banner? I was very confused....Doesn't take much.

I did add it to my favorites though because it is very nice to be able to find the forcast anywhere you want at the touch of a button.

(((PENNY))) Came back wondering how Murphy was doing.

    Goodnight all.
