Recipe: Peach Cobbler, easy and delicious

I have made this cobbler many times and have one baking now:

    Peach Cobbler

1 large ( 29 ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup

Place in 10 inch square casserole dish. ( I cut the peach slices into smaller pieces )

    Crust:

    3/4 cup SR flour

    1/2 cup sugar

    1/8 cup cooking oil

    1/4 tsp vanilla

Milk  ( about 1/4 cup, enough to make a batter the consistency of pancake batter )

Stir ingred. together and spoon over peaches.  Bake at 400 til bubbly and brown, about 30 min.

     That one sounds good.

    The  one I use is:

    1 lg can peaches (drained)

    1 cup butter

    1 cup flour

    i cup sugar

    1 cup milk

    Melt butter in pan

    Mix flour sugar and milk

Pour in pan over butter and add peaches

Bake in oven @ 350 degrees untill browned

    Easy and delicious

I have never made a Cobbler in my life.  Thanks to these two delicious sounding recipes, I may have to finally give making a Cobbler a try.  I bet this would be awesome over some vanilla icecream, right? Wink

And what a wonderful way to initiate my new oven as well!

Wow, those both look simple and tasty! And with canned peaches, they're useable year round.

    Thank you both.
