ISO RECIPES FOR DESSERT CHEESEBALLS- Especially Lemon cheesecake

At a benefit dessert  buffet recently there were several dessert cheeseballs & my, they were different & delicious.

I had never heard of dessert cheeseballs so I would like your recipes please.

The one lady said she used a package of Blue Willow Lemon cheesecake mix  that needed 4 tbsp. of butter softened & an 8 ounce box of cream cheese softened & then she rolled the ball in crushed graham crackers & served it with vanilla wafers.

Does anybody have a clone recipe or a similar recipe for the lemon cheesecake mix?  Would using lemonade  powdered drink mix be similar to the mix?   How much should be used of the lemonade drink mix?

Thank you for your help & suggestions.

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm hoping someone does!  I love the lemon cheesecake cheeseballs made from mixes.  I tried to improvise one using instant lemon pudding and the taste was great but the texture wasn't exactly what I wanted.

    Lemon Cheesecake Ball
*Note: This recipe will be the easiest you ever make, and one of the most impressive when taken to parties.... guard the secret well!*

    1 block cream cheese (softened)
1 "on the go" packet Country Time Lemonade (can also use the no-sugar version. These are the packets that you put into individual sized water-bottles.)
    1 box Graham Cracker Sticks

Thoroughly mix together the cream cheese and lemonade packet. Place in plastic-wrap, and twist top together to form a ball. Place in fridge to allow to get hard.
Put around 10 of the graham cracker sticks into a ziplock, then crush into crumbs. Once cheese ball has chilled, put it into the bag with the graham cracker crumbs and coat evenly.

Serve on tray surrounded with remailing graham cracker sticks for eating. Can also be served with vanilla wafers.

Big Smile  Thank you for these posts.  I have Country Time Lemonad in a big can.  How much do you think I should use for the 1 on the go packet.

    Thank you for helping me.

Stir in 1-2 TBS and taste, if not lemon-y enough add a little at a time until you get the lemon flavor you want.

Thank you so much for this information.  I have another question too for you great cooks.

If the mix recipe called for 4 Tablespoons softened butter with the 8 oz block of cream cheese, do you think I should put the butter in or try first without?  Also do I need to add any powdered or granulated sugar?

Like I said, I've NEVER made any kind of cheeseballs so I guess Inquiring Minds Want to Know.

    Thanks.

I always thought a tasty dessert would be plain cheesecake balls dipped in melted chocolate that you add a teaspoonful of shortening to. The shortening makes the chocolate shiny.

My daughter makes a Chocolate Chip Cheeseball that's a dessert cheeseball-and it calls for a stick of butter with the cream cheese-she tried margarine the first time and it was a NO GO...the stuff didn't firm up enough to roll into a ball.  So she used real butter the next time and had NO problems-so answer is I would definitely use the butter.  She also uses confectioners' sugar in hers-blends in a whole lot easier than granulated sugar.

That Lemon cheesecake dessert ball sounds SO good!!!!  What a great summer dessert!!!

    Hope this helps!Huh?
