Help....Netscape-Firefox question

It seems that I am going to finally have to break down and download Firefox...as Netscape becomes unsupported on march 1.... How do I import my bookmarks from Netscape to Firefox?  I don't see anywhere to do this... any help will be appreciated!!!!! I hate new stuff especially when I am tired!

Viola... thank you...I HATE change!!! and I downloaded Firefox this morning.. and then did a systems restore when I couldn't get my bookmarks to move*LOL*!!!

I want to try firefox but am scared to try it. I have and old computer so not sure what would happen. Do you delete internet explorer when you do it? I hate change too when it comes to computers especially since I don't have the money to fix it if I mess it up.

 No need to delet explorer...you can actually use them at the same time.

I'm the original mouse when it comes to new things, technology wise. It took me 3 months to open the brand new digital cam from it's box!

I was surprised at how much simpler it is than IE

 akfishergirl, relax....I think that site mentioned something about possibly having to EXPORT them FROM IE before they will IMPORT to Firefox. I find I have to do things 2 or three times on my computer before it gets the idea

Viola.. I have BOTH netscape and IE.. I prefer Netscape.. but some things (like this site) just don't run well on netscape...so I have to download Firefox to replace Netscape that is going unsupported March 1....I want my Netscape bookmarks... but when I downloaded Firefox Netscape disappeared and I freaked!!!!

 Netscape will still be there, somewhere...just do a search for it

Unless you went into  our Control Panel, and Add or Remove Programs.....it should still be there

 That place is a good one to check to see if programs are still on your computer....and nothing is gone forever!...well, unless you get a virus, and that's another situation entirely.

 I downloaded FF yesterday.  When it was installing,a box poped up and asked if I wanted FireFox to get all my bookmarks,passwords...all of those kinds of things.  I clicked yes,so when FF was finished,it had everything already there for me.  But,I was using IE before,not netscape.  May be why it done it for me and not you,ak.

 And you wantto save your Netscape bookmarks, right?

 OK, I was playing around with the Bookmark Manager, and found something interesting...for some reason, it doesn't import from Netscape...so, what you want to do is EXPORT TO FILE from Netscape.

It'll save a file on your computer...MAKE NOTE OF WHERE IT IS.

Then go to Firefox, when installed, and IMPORT FROM FILE.
