~!~ Asparagus Cordon Bleu Wraps ~!~

    from the Wal Mart site:

    Asparagus Cordon Bleu Wraps
    1 Rotisserie chicken
    1 Pkg. refrigerated biscuits
    2 Tbsp. honey Dijon mustard
    Italian seasoning
4 Slices Swiss cheese, cut into 4 smaller pieces
4 Slices Virginia ham, cut into 4 smaller slices
16 Fresh asparagus spears, trimmed and steamed

    Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cut or pull off 16 (1-ounce) chunks of white meat from rotisserie chicken; set aside. Remove 8 biscuits from package and cut each in half. Place on floured work surface.
Using a rolling pin, flatten each piece into very thin rectangles.
Divide mustard evenly among 16 pieces of biscuit dough and spread on each piece. Sprinkle Italian seasoning to taste on top of layer of mustard.
Top each with 1 piece each of cheese and ham, 1 chunk of chicken and 1 asparagus spear.
Wrap dough around filling and press edges together where dough overlaps.
Place on baking sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until dough is golden brown and puffy, and cheese is melted. Serve hot

Kate, your on a roll girlfriend. First the Ranchiladas and now these YUUUUM!. I made the Ranchiladas with a Costco Rotisserie chicken, so next time I make them (very soon) I will make this recipe the next day with the same chicken.

I hope the biscuits are the smaller ones and not the Grands big ones?

Thanks so much for posting these super recipes.  Cant wait to try these.

Jan....I am soooooo influenced by the pictures of the recipes. One question about the ranchiladas... Did you use corn or flour tortillas? I am leaning toward the corn myself!

    Marlene.... waving to you....

I was actually thinking of doing these with crescent rolls and halfing them, to make the 16??

Hi Kate, I used corn tortillas and I dipped them into oil and then into the enchilada sauce because that’s how I have always made my chicken enchiladas.

I am more apt to try a recipe if I see the pic first and that is one thing I do like about this new bb for sure.

Oh I like the idea of the crescent rolls too for this recipe, sounds more flaky.

I was sort of thinking about brushing the top with butter and sprinkling a little parmesan on top, just maybe if I use the biscuits.
