All-Clad slow cooker and a special pie pan

Does anyone have the new All-Clad slow cooker with the aluminum insert?  You can sear meat it on the stove and then transfer into the crock pot.  I'm considering purchasing it and would enjoy feedback prior to spending money on something so pricey.  I quite frustrated with my existing 5-qt ones from Rival because even when I set it on low, food begins to boil after 1 hr. They seem to run way too hot. My co-worker complains of the same issue.

I'm also looking for a special pie pan that has a removable bottom, similar to a tart pan but taller.  I saw Alton Brown used it on his Pie episode a few weeks ago. It's pretty cool. It allows the ability to cut the pie easier than in side a normal pie pan.

I don't have the new one with the insert, but it sounds great. I do have the regular one I bought last year. Yes, pricey - I think I paid over $130.00 for it but I love it. I have been through umpteen cheapos including Rival, the 'real' Crock Pot, Betty Crocker etc. They all stink compared to the All-Clad. The heat is even and everything comes out perfect. When it goes into the 'warm' mode, it is truely warm,  and not still cooking like the others. The lid is practically air tight and none of the moisture leaks out. It can be programmed to cook for up to 22 hours or as quick as an hour and a half. I hope it will be the last one I ever buy.

Thanks for the helpful info Joan. Big Smile I didn't know it could cook that long.  It does sound like a good investment.
