    Lindapearl!

Hey, lady!   I ordered your cookbook from Amazon, and it arrived yesterday.

I am well and truly impressed!!!

What a labor of love it must have been for you!  I couldn't believe all the information compiled at the front of the book--over 100 pages of info alone before the recipes!  I've been having a blast reading and learning.  I've always loved my pressure cooker, but I can see I haven't even scratched the surface of all the things I can do with it.  Can't wait to try out some of your recipes this weekend!

This one is definitely a keeper and one I will refer to over and over and over!  Fantastic job!  Dogger, too is toasting you with absinthe!

    Is this it?

MISS VICKIE'S BIG BOOK OF PRESSURE COOKER RECIPES
    by Vickie Smith

I just saw this offered through The Good Cook book club, and was considering it, as I just bought an electric pressure cooker.  But, then I saw her response to a ? about pressure cookers, and it sounds like my new pressure cooker wouldn't exactly jive with this....I'm bummed!

Yeah, cookn, that's it!  It really is most excellent!  You're right, though.  It's not exactly written for electric pressure cookers, but there's enough adaptable information in it, you could probably make good use of it nonetheless.

Madame X died from being addicted to absinthe.  Very sad movie with Lana Turner.  Make sure Dogger doesn't drink it too often.

Thats why it was illegal here for a looong time. I think thats changed. The stuff scares me. Doesnt keep me out of the Absinthe bar on Bourbon street though.

    That's so cool.

I'm severely tempted to buy the book and add it to my cookbook collection!!  I'm still semi-fearful of my pressure cooker & I bet if I read LP's book I wouldn't be!

I can't buy that book, because it would cost me too much.  She'll convince me that my old wobbly weight pressure cooker is no good and I'll end up buying a new one.

"Madame X" is Dogg's favorite movie!  Gotta admit I just love hearing that kid of hers cry, "I don't want Jesus to take my soul before I wake!!"

I was thinking that, too, LF, but, while the book certainly recommends the newer European models, it acknowledges that most people in the US don't have them, so it's more about maintaining proper pressure as safely as possible.   There is a recipe for lamb with chunky rhubarb sauce that I am dying to try!  This weekend shall be fun!

And, I like my wobbly weight, too!  I also like that pressure regulator thingy!
