    Collection of Sandra Lee recipes

Do we have a collection of Sandra Lee's recipes like we do Pampered Chef, Rachel Ray, etc.  Saw her books at Sam's  but was hoping we had a site here.  Thanks, Sandra

Thank you for responding.  What I like of Sandra's is her deserts and her decorating ideas.  I am a pretty good cook but not the best baker so her short cuts with boxed cakes work well for me.  Also decorating just adds something to a meal.  Even if the meal does not turn out exactly like you wanted it to dressing up the table make everyone feel very special.   I will check out the site you said.

You are from Ft Worth?  Go to Plano to see my daughter and her family often but I can not drive there by myself.  Had my first accident about a year ago and flipped a small truck outside of Lampasses, have not been able to drive in the Dallas area ever since.  Trying to get past the accident but it's hard, only 45 years old and hate to be scared off, but the reality is I am scared  for right now.

Went to the site you suggested and pulled up Sandra Lee, Saw where it told me that it was in master cook format clicked on that and I just got a site with Digimon type games on it.  Said there was over 200 of her recipies (and Rachel Ray too) would like to get these but not sure what I am doing wrong (I am computer dumb sometimes).

Cheaperbythedozen, I think you have to have the Mastercook program installed on your computer. If so, then when you click on Sandra Lee the recipes go directly into Mastercook. Sorry, I forgot about that. If you don't have it I guess it won't download. I have Mastercook and just love it. I add new cookbooks all the time.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I don't like to drive in Dallas traffic, either. I try to avoid at all costs. I let DH drive when we go over there. We live in the mid-cities area close to the airport. The traffic on 635 is horrendous. Actually, the traffic in the entire DFW Metroplex is getting worse by the day - LOL.

I saw where you met GrannyM. She is such a neat person. I have been going to the Texas get-togethers for years now with Vammie. Hope to see you in April.    MarineMom

I love Sandra Lee's egg roll recipe. It's quite good. Someone posted it here a while back. I'll hunt it up if anyone wants it.

cheaperbythedozen, I live just north and east of Dallas. I have jury duty on Thursday and my dh had to arrange a day off to take me. I'm terrified of driving in Dallas. I haven't had any accidents, but began having some pretty intense tunnel vision and panic attacks after my dad passed away. It's been several years, but the stress of driving around a few million of my fellow citizen turns me into a quivering mass.

These attacks really caught me off guard.  Sad So, for now, I plan ahead and try to avoid situations that bring them on.

I've lived in the DFW area all my life and NOW I'm afraid to drive...wow.

You're welcome, Deb. There's a lot of good recipes on that site. Sounds like you're close to us in North Texas. We are planning on going to the Texas get together April 26 in Temple. Let me know if you are interested.   MarineMom

half of her recipes must be alcoholic..now and then she has a good recipe/idea but I can't stand her show - kitchen has to match her 'theme' - her tablescapes and she can't do a show without a cocktail for pete's sake - blech!

Re: Collection of Sandra Lee recipes

I picked up a master cook DVD at a garage sale awile back.  It did not come with any instructions but maybe I should put it in and see if it works and how old it is.

I am planning on coming to the get together in April. I have my mom on the weekends and I am hoping to bring her if she is doing well. She has Alzheimer's and now lives in a nursing home  in Round Rock.  Because I work I am only able to bring her home on the weekends and this is difficult for her.  She is still very physically fit and loves to pickup pecans and work outside.  Her memory is just gone and she can remember hardly anything and so because of that she would be easy pray to just about anyone who would do her harm.

It sounds like there are quite a few of use with fears driving. I do alright for the most part in Houston, San Antonio, Temple and Waco.  Just can't do Dallas and that is where my grand babies are. We have been meeting 1/2  way and I bring the girls home to enjoy them for 3 or 4 days. I am hoping this fear of driving will get better.  Whenever  I am boxed in with those road  barricades I also get scared and have to slow down and keep telling myself to breath, that I can do it.  I never want to let this get the better of me so I just keep working at it.

Hi, Sandra. Glad you could find Mastercook. It doesn't come with a lot of instructions but I found a great message board where you can ask questions and get good answers. Here is the link:      http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MastercookDiscussion/messages

You have to join Yahoo to participate but if you already have a yahoo email address then you can use your same email and password. If not, it is easy to join. They can help with any questions or problems. If you get stuck or have questions about MC, you can PM me and I will try to help.

Glad you are coming to the get together in April. It's always fun. Be sure to bring some recipes.    MarineMom (Joan)

Re: Collection of Sandra Lee recipes

I have watched her shows for a while, and I am all about the simplicity of her recipes.  A few weeks ago I picked up her book that she wrote...ummm..."Made from Scratch"  Its about her life.  Wow I was floored, she had a really crappy childhood (it really wasn't much of a childhood actually).  She did a really good job writing the book, my heart just ached for her.  You know you watch someone on tv & you think their life is perfect.  She really had to work hard for everything that she has, it gave me more respect for her.  There are people who grow up the way she did & choose to blame the world, she did not & she made herself strong because of it.  I would recommend reading the book, it was very good.
