    ISO Mini Desserts

I went out to lunch the other day @T.G.I.F.'s. I was served a dessert ,(frozen mississippi mud ).

The size was just right. It was served in a shot glass. All it consisted of was about 1tsp. choc. syrup in bottom of glass, one small scoop of frozen ganash & topped with 2 mini marshmellows & One toasted walnut. That was it! I was wondering if maybe we could come up with a few more combinations. I went right out & bought 16 shot glasses & I need some suggestions, Pleeeease

What a good way to handle portion control.

That sounds so yummy!  I had a similar dessert at La Madeline- it was in a little glass- filled with mostly ganash and a bit of chocolate cake with a chocolate syrup topping.

I hope someone else has some recipes.

"What about banana pudding? Put a vanilla wafer in the shot glass, cover with pudding & stick a banana slice in the top. Could also use chocolate pudding and crushed oreos. Or brownies cut very small, cover with a scoop of ice cream and a squirt of chocolate syrup. You could put a little whipped cream on any of these and stick a toasted walnut on top.

Am I on the right track here?

    Mini Hot Fudge Sundae
A brownie on the bottom, a small cookie scoop of ice cream, drizzle with fudge sauce, a dollop of Cool Whip and a cherry on top.

    Mini Strawberry Shortcake
Angel food or pound cake cube on the bottom, top with thawed strawberries with sauce, ice cream, Cool Whip, and a strawberry on top.

You could combine 8 oz cream cheese with a cup of powdered sugar (or more, to taste), 1/2-1 tsp vanilla, almond (or any flavor) extract and 8 oz Cool Whip.  That would be good with or without a cube of cake/brownie.  Top with fresh fruit/berries or a dollop of canned pie filling.

Brickle, pecans/nuts, chopped candy bars would all be great toppings, too.

Thank you Salbo, I think a vanilla wafer might be to large, but I could crumble it a little. I think T.G.I.F.'s already had these frozen in the glass ahead of time. The choc. syrup was not frozen ,But it took them so long to bring out the dessert, that I was wondering if the syrup had time to  become runny befor bringing to the table?

These shot glasses are so small that it would be difficult to add to much. so I thought whatever you put in, should be RICH. If you could freeze them so much the better. I love your last suggestion, cream cheese, P. sugar etc.I'm definately going to try that. Thank you so much!
