    Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

Doris, nice to see you posting!! Glad you got that perm and color!!! I need a hair cut and have just been putting off getting it.  I find myself fussing over DH too and worry if I see something I shouldn't be seeing or if he does something stragnge....like going outside without his coat on.  I am still taking a 5 mg. tablet of the chantix daily.  It is very hard sometimes on my stomach as I get horrible gas at times.  I am waiting for nicer weather so I can get outside more and walk.  I have been so slug like this winter.

I think I am getting "the bug" or a sinus infection. I guess this is what is going around and what Gabby had.

We take  Mom to the Dr. for her checkup today.  She needs a script for a new walker as hers in getting pretty warn out.

Wishing you ALL a GREAT Thursday!!

    Hugs,

    Mary

    Good morning, everyone.

We got a light covering of that white stuff, it has started when I was at church, last night.

MARY, I'm the same as you and DORIS with DH. Russell gets very perturbed at all of us asking how he's doing. And, DD and DGC did it last weekend, too. He said he's going to put a sign around his neck that says, I'm fine. Hope mom does OK at the doctor, today. I see such nice walkers now a days. Keep on with your accomplishment. We are all proud of you.

Hi, DORIS, good to hear from you.

We are going to Cabela's this morning, and that is in Richfield, WI. So, we will have a nice hour drive to get there.

    See you all later.

    Hello everyone!

Nancy-we were suppose to get 2-3 inches but it passed us by. Thankfully! Our streets are so bad here. Big pot holes. You can hardly miss them at times. So many of us are blowing our tires. The county cannot keep up with all the snow we are having and the ice is just terrible. Yesterday a school bus hit a pot hole and broke its axle. Maybe now they will be doing something about it. Yea, right. LOL

Mary, I am sorry to hear you are coming down with something. As my Aunt use to say, drink plenty of fluids and it just might miss you!

Last night at the church, we had a carnival for the kids. They just loved it. So much work for the one lady. She does most of it, except for setting it up. One of my bus kids were sick so I took her a big surprise package and she was so thrilled. I also ended up getting 4 more kids to come. I can hardly wait for award night as they are all working so hard on their verses. I have 1 girl that did 8 sheets in one night and that was quite a feat. They are about the size of a 5/7 picture and covered with verses and things to know. I was so proud of her. Well, enough of this rambling on about my King Kids.

Went to the doctors this week and she told me I need to cut back yet a bit more. My blood pressure now is too low. High, Low, high. We just can't seem to keep it regulated. That is why I am so dizzy. I am also anemic and they had to adjust my thyroid meds. But the good news is I have my diabetics under control. Hurray for me!!!!

Well, I must be going and get some of the laundry done!

Hi Claudia!!  I see you trying to post.  At least we know you are here!!LOL

Mary, spring will soon be here and we can get out and about more.  Hope your mom gets the script for the new walker.

Nancy I hope you are enjoying your trip to Cabela's.  We went to the nearest one to us (about an hour away) a couple of years ago.  Since Danny doesn't hunt or fish anymore, it was just a visit to see what it was all about.  Loved the aquarium and all the stuffed animals.

Annette, congrats on getting your #'s under control.  But, it is always something isn't it?  You get one area under control, and something else goes out of whack.  Sounds like alot of fun for the Kings Kids.  Does it end pretty soon?

I did Curves this morning, but I am soo tired today.  Work wasn't all that busy last night, but I didn't sleep well, and could sure use a nap.  Hopefully, we will be a little busier tonight and I will get some energy.

    See you all later.

    Hi, everybody.

Just got home from a nice morning. Russell found everything that was on his list. I looked at lots of things, but nothing hit my eye.

Seeing Brett Favre is retiring from the Green Bay Packers, all our local stations have his press conference on right now. One thing about him, he is a down home kind of guy.

ANNETTE, glad you have the diabetes under control. And, hopefully, the BP will be good, too. Your "kids" do so good because you are so enthusiastic about it. You are their great role model. Look how proud they and you will be when they get an award. Our church is planning for VBS already. My DD#1 loves to do the music every year.

HI, CLAUDIA, we know you are here. Been wondering how things are going for you.

DEB, hope you got that nap in and now feel refreshed. Russell still makes lots of his ammo for rifle and pistol, so he is always buying the components to do so.

My Homemakers has their Red Hat dinner, tonight. We are going to Olive Garden, so I will do the salad and soup meal. This group only does this once a year.

I am trying to clean up one little basement area every day or so, but it is not easy. I am such a saver, or at least think I need more than I do. I need someone here to slap my hand when I want to keep too much.

    Have a good afternoon.

Doris - I'm sure you are ready for winter to be over, too.  I don't blame you for mothering DH either.  You can't be too careful, especially as sick as he has been.

Mary - I hope your mother's dr. appt. goes okay.  You have done so well with the stop smoking.  You should be very proud of yourself.  I hope Gabby and your DD are feeling better today.

Nancy - I hope the roads had cleared by the time you were ready to go to Cabela's and you didn't have any problems.  I'm glad Russell got everything on his list.  Enjoy your Red Had dinner tonight.  I keep telling myself I have got to go through my "stuff", but I haven't even started.  Good luck on the basement clean up area.

Annette - It sounds like the kids enjoyed the carnival at church last night.  Congratulations on getting your diabetes under control.  It is tough to do.

Deb - Good for you for doing Curves, even though you were tired.  I'm sure your body is still adjusting from your vacation.  It will take a few days.  I hope you are busier tonight.

They are calling for snow tomorrow.  Weather Channel said 1-3" but the local weatherman said anywhere from 4-9".  So I'm not sure what we will have.

Hi all - I'm working my icky Bi-Monthly 3-11 shift tonite so thought I'd pop in now before we get busy.

My MD visit went well. Had some labs done but haven't heard the results. If they were bad he'd have called. I'll probably get "the letter" LOL. He is on call tomorrow night so maybe he'll tell me if we wake him up. We mostly went over my meds and made a "game plan" that fit to both of us. He'll have me come in every 3 mos this year and re-evaluate in January as to how often I'll come in. No changes in meds, no new meds now. He thought my numbers looked good. We went over how illness effects me esp since I wasn't feeling well. Oh, let's see, that's about it. So I don't need to see him until June unless something comes up.

This morning I did some laundry and did up my dishes. Still not feeling 100% but not nauseated like I was. Tummy is still rolling a bit tho. Had some cream of wheat for breakfast and soup for lunch. Brought some oatmeal for dinner. See how it goes.

Well, better go do some chores. See ya either a little later or tomorrow night.

    Wink  Hi Everyone!!  Wink

Busy day here.  We took Mom to the Drs. and got that perscription for a new walker.  Her Dr. also gave me a perscription for anitbiotic to help beat this bug.  He doesn't want Mom to catch it from me.  Then I went to Walmart for the perscription and there was a half hour wait at the pharmacy....lots must be sick!!!  I got Mom, Ron and I sandwiches from Subway and we  ate in the van waiting for the perscription.  We got home and our family Dr. called saying he wanted us at his office at 4 PM.  Ron's tests showed some bladder problems.  He is not empting out like he should.  This is nothing serious, but other meds was added and another trip to the Urlogist next week.  After the Dr. appointment we went back out to the hospital for him to have more blood tests...he feels like a pin cushion!!!

Joyce, we have no idea either how much snow we will be getting.  I guess we just better be prepared and if we get less, all the better!!!

Nancy, glad Russell could find his stuff today!!  You had more snow too or are expecting more???

Deb, welcome home and Congradulations for going to curves today!!  I am sure since being on vacation, it would be easy to slide....good for you!!

What a nice surprize seeing Michelle posting!!! I know you don't like the 3-11, but we get to hear from you  more and that is neat!!!! Hope all is well with you.

Well, I am going to get my PJ's on and rest.  I have this miserable cold, coughing and feel pretty rough.

Hugs To ALL!!! Prayers to ALL in NEED!!

    Mary

Poor Claudia, tring to post and can't!!!  If you read this, thank you again for the beautiful card!! I hope all is well with you!!!

Hello gang!  Mary, does your Mom get her new Walker delivered or do you go pick one out somewhere?  My Mom has a fancier one with a extra large basket area to keep her "stuff", lol, and then a lighter, less fancy one that folds easily for when she goes somewhere.  The fancy one she calls her "cadillac".  But my brother had to buy that one for her.   And it seems that darned cough, cold, nastiness is spreading all over the country.

Nancy, I guess we women tend to "Mother" our husbands don't we?  My dh also doesn't like it when I "tell" on him at the monthly doctor visits, I mention stuff he does outside in the yard that he shouldn't be doing because it is too much work.  We have a brand new Cabela's up near Reno, Nevada, but haven't driven up there to see it yet.  Perhaps this summer we can do that.  Is the stuff expensive??

Deb, you going to Curves despite not feeling great deserves a "high five" doesn't it?  I wonder if you have to get out of the "vacation" mode, and it makes one feel mopey.

Annette, good for you getting your blood sugar numbers down!  It will be hard to slow down, but the doctor must know what they are talking about.  Can they raise your BP meds or something else, would that help?

Joyce, your new office sounds nice, you guys should be a happy bunch in there now.  How long have you worked there at that job?

Michelle, sounds like a nice doctor for you now. A reasonable doctor!!  Hope you don't get any crowds of folks at work tonight to drive you nuts though.  I enjoy Cream of Wheat when my stomach doesn't feel good.

hauke, do you and your family buy your German style deli foods at a German Delicatessen??  When we were at my brother's this last long weekend, they brought special long weiners at that Alpine Village down in Los Angeles area.   There are German restaurants and shops there too.  I have never been there.

Claudia, I wonder why you can't post??  Are you waiting for the reply area to download completely?  It takes awhile for it to become "ready" before you can begin to write, at least it does on my computer, and I have DSL too.

    See yah friends!!

    Old Doris
