Wink   Good Monday Morning Everyone!!!!   Wink

Paradise  It is still pretty cold here and todays forcast, doesn't sound so great either....rain and snow. I did see a Robin this weekend, which surprized me.  He was sitting on the birdbath, in the snow.  He looked pretty chubby!!  We noticed alot of other birds in the backyard too, feeding in the pine trees.  The birds must know something we don't know yet????  Spring is coming...slowly!! LOL

Paradise  Doris, safe travels today!!! I feel so germy, like I shouldn't even be cooking and handling food. So far, Ron hasn't gotten sick, so I am hoping the flu shot did its thing with him.

Paradise  Michelle, how are you feeling?  I have stomach problems too, but not up chucking....the other end.  What a mess!! I sure hope you are feeling better!!!

Paradise  Today might be Walmart day and getting Mom's hair done. Tomorrow is her eye doctor appointment and I might have to figure when to get her to the medical doctor too.  I am not sure if she feels up to going to get her haid done or not.  She is feeling better, but not up to par by far.

Paradise  Wishing you ALL a Good Monday!!!  Paradise

    Mary

    Good morning.

Boy I'm sure glad to be back home.  I don't sleep well in strange beds.  Then on top of the strange bed was the fact that all of the beds at the retreat center were single beds.  Kenny & I were in the same room but different beds.  I didn't have my bed warmer!!!!  LOL!

The time with Lucas and Greta was wonderful but went way to fast.  The retreat was very good.  Even though I've been an Episcopalian all of my life I learned alot.  Maybe I'd forgotten alot of things.  It's been 52 (yikes) years since I had my Confirmation instructions.  Another one of the sponsors rode over with us.  I told Roxanne on the way over that I would never be a sponsor again.  The whole process was just taking way to long.  Well----I've changed my mind.  The retreat was really good.  My only hang up was that the group decided to eat meals out.  I would have really liked to prepare and eat our meals at the retreat center.  We really got into some good discussions and they could have continued through the meals.  We did studies on Baptism, the Holy Spirit, and the Scriptures.  It was really interesting Sunday at church when you had that lightbulb moment.  We did indepth discussion on the Holy Mysteries as well.  Friday night after our sessions we talked about the Church and the problems facing the Episcopal Church.  Saturday night we had more personal soul baring discussions.  All in all it was a very good experience.

Mary & Michelle I hope that you both are beginning to feel better.  It's been 2 weeks since Kenny & I had the crud.  We're both still coughing.  Sometimes my cough is really deep.  This crud is really affecting people in different ways.  Kenny had the back door trots.  I vomited and ran a fever for a couple of days.

I just found out that my friend Oneda is in the hospital because of the crud.  In her case it turned into pneumonia.

Also Dana is back in the hospital with a UTI, pain, and vomiting.  David said that she's also very depressed.  The removal of the kidney was supposed to help her and she's been back to the hospital twice since that surgery.

Please keep prayers and good thoughts for Oneda and Dana.

I better get moving and get my shower.  I hope everyone is on the mend and has a good day.

    Good morning, everyone.

We are staying home, today, and I have been zipping around getting lots of things done. Guess the sun today has pepped Russell up and he is not going anywhere, today. Yippee!

MARY, sending good thoughts that the bug leaves you and mom. Hope you will be OK for your trip to WM, too. Maybe our little warm-up will get to you, too. We will be in the 40's the next several days.

CAROL, glad the retreat was so informative for you. I feel the same way about the church. It has been so long since we had confirmation that a review is always welcome. Our new Music Director has been writing good articles on church music and the liturgy for the monthly newsletter. I will be praying for your friends.

Sending good thoughts for MARGE, and I hope we hear how she is doing after her surgery on Wednesday.

DORIS, hope you had a safe trip.

Have a good day, my friends. BBL

    Morning DCers,

I have my coffee.  DD actually poured me a cup of java as she saw it had finished brewing and yet I was still on the computer.  She knows I'll get busy in a project and three hours later come up for air and realize I still haven't had my coffee - so she, like a sweetheart - brought it too me.

Did a lot of eating out last week too as I had out of town visitors ... so it's back to counting those carbs careful like this week!  Not sure if it will make a difference by Wednesday.

Mary, mom must be feeling better if she can get her hair done.  LOL

Carol, sounds like you had quite the weekend - and you're right - there's no bed like your own!

Marge, hope all goes well today!  This week will seem stressful - but our prayers are there to support you.!

Doris, safe travels to yet another appointment.

Nancy, it's so good sometimes to just stay home and get things back in order isn't it.

Joyce, were you all hit with that horrid storm I saw on the news?  How are the roads in to work.

I saw on the CNN website that there were parts of the East US that had such a bad storm they closed all the roads - only emergency personnel allowed to drive - or folks heading to an emergency.  If they caught you driving they could arrest you!  WOW - I've lived in snow country all my life and never heard of them closing roads in Alberta.  They'll say stay hope - but they've never made it against the law to be on the roads.  Maybe we're just more "something" - not sure what?  but over the years we've had horrid storms, been in a few myself - stranded on the highway because you can't see - but the weather was great where we started the trip.  LOL

Well, my it's almost time for my morning meeting and I still have a few things to prep so I better get ready.   SYAL

Hauke – I hope you had a nice visit with your friend Saturday and then had a quiet day on Sunday.  No, fortunately, the bad storm missed us.  We just had a dusting.  I was so glad.  Southern parts of Indiana really got it bad.  We had one storm last year where my county issued a snow emergency and if you got stuck, they would ticket you.  So I didn't go to work that day.  It wasn't worth the price of a ticket.

Mary – I'm glad you didn't have to take your mom to the ER.  Were you able to talk to her doctor today?  I bet the kids had a great time at Disney on Ice.  I've never been to one of the shows, but I've heard good things about them.  I heard on the news this morning that gas had hit a new price (per barrel), so I'm sure the price at the pump will be going up again.  I hope the birds are right about spring.

Janice – I hope you have a good week, too.

Doris – Have a good trip to and from Sacramento.  I hope things go well.  I really like your new avatar.  It is so pretty.

Carol – I'm glad you had a nice time away.  I'm sure the time with Lucas and Greta always goes way too fast.  Will you all be together for Easter?  Sounds like the retreat was better than you had thought it would be and that so nice with that happens.  I hope both Oneda and Dana will be better soon.

Nancy – The sun definitely does good things for the mind/soul/mood.  Enjoy your day at home.

I've been trying to get here all morning.  I kept getting interrupted with work.We are to be near 50 degrees starting tomorrow and for the 2 days following.  That will be so nice.  I hope everybody is feeling better soon and saying prayers for those that need them.

I just had this brain storm!

I told you about Dana.  Well Dana is Dee or lacie2.  Her name is Dana Dee and she goes by Dee here on the BB.  But at church everyone calls her Dana.  I call her by both names.  Whew!

    Hi All!

I sure hope all that are not feeling well, get better and feel good again very soon.

Best wishes for surgeries, and all those aches and pains.

I have been so overwhelmed with this new job, I am tuckered out and in bed by 8:30-9:00. I haven't even been dancing in over two weeks, so you know it's bad. LOL

I sent out some resumes, one is for a doctors office doing filing, it is better pay with full benefits paid by company. It would be a dream if that worked out. Working on the line has brought fourth a sever case of carpal tunnel and trigger finger in my left hand (never had it in the left, only in the right). I am leaving work early in the morning to see a hand surgeon. Hopefully he can give me some shots to tame it down before we decide if any surgery would be needed.

Well, I need to get some things done around here before bed. Take care all!

    Rebecca
