Sonic's Peach Smoothie...I'm dreamin' of summer. Recipe?

Did any of you guys try that thing last summer? It was just delicious. I'd love to have one right now! Any ideas about recipes? I know it had low fat yogurt. Do you think frozen peaches or canned? I'm sure they weren't fresh, LOL. Peach nectar? Vanilla? I'm sure they used that good sonic ice with it. I've never bought it but I've heard you can buy bags of it from them. I'm thinking I'm in a Smoothie making mood....Recipes anyone? :)

    Thanks!

I found several recipes that look promising in my search last night. :)

    Peach Smoothe Recipe

    Ingredients:
1 large peach, sliced and unseeded
    1/2 cup of peach yogurt
    1/2 cup of whole milk
    6 ice cubes

    Directions:
Blend the peach slices with the ice cubes and milk first until slushy texture is formed. Then add the yogurt and blend for another minute on low setting. You may substitute fresh peaches with canned peaches with the syrup in this smoothie recipe

    Peach Smoothie

If you are looking for a beverage to serve at a teen party or a special treat for dinner tonight, try this recipe.

    2 cups peach nectar (juice)

    1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt

    1/2 banana

    1 cup peach yogurt

1 1/2 cups frozen peach slices

Place all ingredients into a blender in the order listed. Blend at a low setting for the first minute, then the high setting until smooth. Serves 4.

I found this reference on a blog:

Have you tasted the new Sonic Peach Smoothie?

I can make one of those, with Fat Free Yogurt, Peaches canned without sugar, and Splenda, and ICE......I use Ice cubes cause I have the most wonderful tasting well water. And I have two ice makers going all the time.

I put in square ice cubes and it cuts them to shreds in just a second......I have other cubes the shape of a 'slice' of lime........it chews those up too...

I like small smooth ice sometimes and then a bit of an ice in others.....

    Peach Cooler Smoothie Recipe

    1 c Chilled peach nectar

    1⁄2 c Milk

1 Container (6 ounces) peach yogurt

    Ground nutmeg

Place nectar, milk and yogurt in blender. Cover and blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until smooth. Sprinkle with nutmeg. 2 servings (about 1-1/4 cups each); 180 calories per serving.

2 large tablespoons of cool whip

    1 teaspoon of vanilla

enough milk to make it the right consistency

    it was really good!

    I think I can, I think I can, I think I can do it!!!! :)

     Thank you Jet! Sounds wonderful!

    Hello, Marlene! Been missing you!

You know, Bdett, I don't think that would be too hard to come up with. I'll put my thinking cap on and see what I come up with.

Meanwhile, did you see the post I did about making Peach Smoothies with the jarred peaches and french vanilla yogurt? Oh my! They are wonderful. We've done them several times now. Let me know if you need me to find the post for you.

    Star,

Whenever I see anything posted by you, I know it's a winner!!  I thank you, and the others, for sharing your recipes, as the nearest Sonic is about 90 miles away.  You definitely have me licking my lips for what sounds like a really refreshing drink!

I've been meaning to find this and print out anyway, so here it is.

Good Grief, these were good! Yumsome, EASY Peach Smoothies!

Oh, MAN! This is SO good. And absolutely so easy you will not believe it.

I have been experimenting with easy recipes that I can make at work, since we're limited there with kitchen equipment and, lately, time.

Tonight I tried this and it was delicious. I had to make two containers of them, since these folks were sucking them up as quick as I could make them (I had intended to save half the stuff for later in the week, LOL, I guess it's back to the grocery story)

Leisa is wandering around right now moaning that there are no more Peach Smoothies because we drank them all!

Also, if you're not a yogurt person, don't hesitate with these. Leisa detests yogurt so much that I wouldn't tell her what was in the smoothies until she'd tried them and then she couldn't believe it. You cannot tell that it's yogurt at all.

    Star's Easy Peach Smoothies

1 24.5 plastic jar of Dole Sliced Peaches in light syrup
2 6 oz containers of Yoplait French Vanilla Yogurt

Freeze the jar of peaches until it is pretty frozen. Remove from freezer and use a long spoon to dig it out and into a tall container, using the spoon to break up the large chunks as you go. Add two containers of French Vanilla yogurt. Use an immersion blender to combine and liquify the ingredients, but leave a few "chunks" of peach. (Alternately, you could use a regular blender or even a potato masher if no blender is available)  If you liquify it enough you can use large straws to drink it with, otherwise you might have to use a spoon, LOL. Leisa liked it chunkier than I wanted it. Freezing the peaches is key to this being as good as it is, and you don't need any sweetener with the syrup in the peaches.

This is awesome, and doubly so since it's so easy.

    Thank you Jill!

Cook, that was very nice..thank you! Do try them if you get a chance, or try these! LOL...they are not the same but good nevertheless!

bdett, I would bet you could just mix the cheesecake pudding up into milk like you normally would and then use it instead of yogurt in that recipe, adding the frozen peaches, and maybe a tsp or two of almond flavoring...man, I think that would be awesome. I'll give it a try this next week when I'm off and let you know how it turns out.
