Hello Deery, Louisa and hope Javagal is doing well, thank you Bratnella and Sandra for taking the time to let us know about the obituary from Marie's Mother and also the updates of Marie and how she is doing, we all are here for her and praying for her strength. Warm blessings for all.

Deery we had 62 here and tonight 37 degrees, tomorow kind of the same, we have the tail ends from Oregon too cold for the time of the year. Tuesday maybe rain? I did not sleep well woke up at 3 am... this is expected on the prednisone.... but had an hour nap this afternoon.

Louisa you are so right that you get close to your friends here, we are like sisters and care for each other, it has helped me so much it is like the olden days when visit each other for coffee or tea and talk about our problems and fun things, this is second best, since we all can not go out, like we would. I am glad for computer age it has kept me sane too.

Have a nice evening and a good nights rest with sweet dreams!

    Hugs Susan

Hi Susan and Marcella and rest of Gals. I am here. BB wouldn't load pages for a couple of days. Rain continues and continues. DR appointment in morning for DR to fill out form for Health Hardship Housing Permit renewal. No sewer check this year so should go faster then two years ago.

Hope everyone is doing as well as they can. Prayers for all in our little group and God's Blessings for our Troops and Emergency Workers.

    Hugs, Deery

    An update on Marie:

Spoke with Marie this morning and she wants all to know that she appreciates the stamps that have been sent but right now she isn't up to writing or mailing cards..she feels she can do it later but right now it just isn't something she can do.

She is mourning her Mama and trying to not get upset about her future. She has a doctor who is championing for her.. and her cousin is trying to boost some help concerning the problem with the Nursing Home in refusing her entry with the Wound Vacuum (which the doctors insists that she must continue) It is the usual bureautcrat bumps in the road kind of situation and moving some of those agencies can be like trying to move a dinasauer..they move at their own pace ignoring individual needs.

She is otherwise able to talk about her situation with intelligent concerns and tries to not become too depressed..saying she would just like to know where she will be living when it comes time for her to move. Right now no one seems to be able to give her a good answer and that is very upsetting (as any of us would be too) She uses the bariatric chamber with ease...but says a lot of patients panic at the confinement..also said they were getting one for obest patients since some don't fit into the normal sized ones.

She says the hospital is taking good care of her and she has a couple of favorite nurses ...thank goodness someone is being kind to her...they try to bathe her after the treataments so she can a little fragrance in the soap or lotion (not allowed before the treatments) much the same reasons as when you have a mammogram..it tends to interfere with the image or machine.

She says Betty has been to see her and Gene called to let her know that a meeting of the 'minds' had been delayed where they are trying to get around the rules set my medicare. (restricting her use of the wound vac)

She says to tell everyone hello and sends thanks for all of the prayers..she sure needs them ongoing so don't give up..her future is so wabbly we just need to remember her when we pray.

She doesn't really need anything..she has little storage in the hospital room but said Betty brought her clothes for the memorial on Saturday..her only concern is if she will be able to sit up in a wheelchair for that length of time..her muscles have become very weakened so pray that she can stay.

When you realize that this is the first time in her life that she has been on her own..this has to be a huge change for her. She has never had to make too many decisions..it has always been done for her by her Mama and it has to be really scarry.

She is doing the best she knows how but she had moments when the tears were right there and it breaks my heart not to be able to help her and be with her through this whole unstable time.

    Re: . . .~~ CHAT ON WHEELS ~~ . . . . . **2008**

A sincere thank you to everyone for the updates on Marie.  I think about her constantly and wish I could help in any way.  I am afraid we will lose contact with her if she moves into a facility without a computer available.  If she doesn't have computer access, I hope she realizes we could keep in touch by notes and letters - she would make a great penpal.  Thinking about her makes me think of my problems as very small.

My DH and I tried to start the water therapy again.  I managed to get there only once this week but will try for at least twice a week starting Monday.  I managed to walk the pool four times - it took me 20 minutes and I left there exhausted. It was so nice to see other women and just receive a smile and a hello. Everyone is so friendly and everyone is struggling.  I'm not too bad off.  My DH goes along to keep an eye on me so I don't have to depend on anyone - of course, he is also benefiting from the exercise.  He is scheduled for 2 shots in his spine on Wednesday to help with the pain.  I still have not been contacted by the new health insurance to tell me that I was accepted.  They will not take anyone on dialysis.  I submitted two letters - one from the surgeon and one from my local nephrologist - that I had a successful transplant and have not been on dialysis since 2/98.  I've had to fight so many times in the past that I still expect problems.   Prayers for all..........Louisa

Good Morning, Marcella and I will have Marie on our mind today and pray she can attend the services. Wish we all lived closer, we both hugged each other and prayed for Marie. We thank Sandra and Bratnella for the updates and the well being of our dear friend (((Marie))) praying she will heal soon. I tried different times to get on the the TOH and could not even log in and was not doing well, also Marcella had to be watched more since her medicines were cut down, to see if she can do without them. It is not working and I put her back on her dose before it was a lot of anxiety for both of us. Warm blessing going out to everyone and I should be better soon too. Hugs Susan

Lovely day here. 72 degrees. But won't last long. Rain expected back for the week.

We plan to go to School Fund Raiser Spaghitti dinner. DGS will play with JrH Jazz Band.

Hello to Everyone,  Goodness no postings since 4/26 - hope everyone is well.  I had a lot of trouble the last several days trying to access this board.  Very, very slow and had to give up.  I hope someone has news of Marie.  Very cool today - high in the 50's.  My DH goes to the Pain Management Clinic for 2 spine shots tomorrow to try to relieve the pain in his back and legs.  We are trying to keep going for the water therapy.  My DH had a real compliment - while waiting for me to change a worker started chatting with him and told him he looked 50 years old. (He's 65) I told him she probably had left her glasses at home!

    Got to go - phone call........take care.....Louisa

Hi Louisa, glad you could stop by, I have been taking a rest from the slow second browser and slow BB. It just wastes too much time. Did get some files cleaned out this morning.

Wishing all a good night of sleep and enjoyable day tomorrow.

    Re: . . .~~ CHAT ON WHEELS ~~ . . . . . **2008**

Hello to all......Back again!  DH received his spinal shots yesterday and slept for the entire day.  It was really peaceful.  Can't hold him down - he's now mowing the grass.  About 4 weeks ago he began to have so much energy that he became hyper.  I can't figure out what is causing it.  Of course he has so much energy he's beginning to get into trouble with all his "projects".  I don't really mind his keeping busy but he keeps trying to make me keep up.  I've explained until I'm blue in the face that I just can't do it.  I went on the Postal Service website and ordered 200 Forever  stamps - the price increases this month.  Will give some to each of my kids.  There is a handling fee of $1.00 for stamps - much cheaper than going to the post office and using the gas.  DH went grocery shopping alone and did a great job.  He used the cell phone to call me with questions.  The store was having the 10 for $10 sale.  He stocked up on the items we use.  He spent $119 for 2 grocery carts full and saved $44 - that was with no coupons.  As a lot of people are doing, my kids are living paycheck to paycheck and just cannot afford any extras - even food.  My son has a serious Chrones problem and eats a lot of rice so I've stocked up on that.

Hope everyone is well - praying for Marie......................Louisa

    Re: . . .~~ CHAT ON WHEELS ~~ . . . . . **2008**

Good afternoon, Louisa glad the spinal shots are done for DH. I deal with the highs Marcella has and I have to give her some xanax just a quarter pill even helps her, called the doctor yesterday and explained Marcella can not do without the zyprexa she was to anxcious and angry had to put her back on it. We tried. I am better but still a little weak and just have to take it easy, working myself up to go grocery shopping tonight after Sylvia comes from work. That is a good idea Louisa to order the stamps in the mail. Don't the forever stamps never need extra stamps? I always wondered about it. I like to share some old radio programs you can listen too and I put some of them on a CD so I can listen at night when I can't go to sleep..you can download them and they are free. I love the old radio shows and Marcella is in to them too...good entertainment http://www.freeotrshows.com/ http://www.otr.net/ They are both the same but one I had earlier and it only went to L or M look at how many shows each has!!! need to unload dish washer wish Deery, Javagal, Louisa and all visitors a lovely Thursday Thinking and prayers and hugs for ((((Marie)))) Old Radio Shows copy and paste in browser ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.freeotrshows.com/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.otr.net/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I don't like this all cropped together, we can't see the web-sites.... so I am going to try if this If it comes out better. Hugs Susan

    Re: . . .~~ CHAT ON WHEELS ~~ . . . . . **2008**

Hi Susan.....Getting the prescription just right can be rough.  I am on 4mg of prednisone because of my transplant.  The doctors tried to cut back on it because of all the side affects.  I cannot take only 3mg - the arthritis pain becomes unbearable.  I had 2 specialists confirm all the tests so there would be no question of need.  I hate taking pills but had to reconcile myself that due to my unique health problems I must take them.  I paid 41 cents each for the forever stamps and they are good forever at that price - no additional postage needed.  (I can use them for 3 years and never need additional postage.) When the price of stamps increases the price of new forever stamps will also increase but the old forever stamps will never need additional postage.  I just spoke to a good friend that went to the post office to buy the forever stamp and they were sold out.  She does not have a computer so I will place an order for her.  Hope you and Marcella are feeling better......sure do miss everyone....Louisa

Hi Louisa and Susan and Marcella, sure good to see you gals. Sure miss Javagal. Was hoping to hear about her family visit. Praying for Marie, hoping that a place to live will be found for her. Hope she is getting the care she needs and they are using the would vac machine.

Dry day for us so DH got a golf game in. Sun was in and out so too cool for me to go out. Maybe more sunshine on the weekend.

Sending good thought and prayers for our small group. May God Bless our troops and emergency workers.

Dear Friends, it has been a lovely surprising day.
DD wanted to take DH to lunch for his birthday but
he wanted to go golfing so DD took me to lunch at
Japanese Teriyaki Restaurant. I got chicken fried
rice with layer of tender sliced teriyaki chicken
on top. Wow! It came on large plate piled 2 inches
high. Could only eat half. Then DD took me shopping
at Marshalls. I bought a night gown, a sweater top
that will make a t-shirt look more dressy. They
didn't have rhubarb jam so I got some cinnamon peach
jam. Bought a insulated beverage container that seals
closed that I can carry in scooter basket when I eat
lunch outside. Won't be spilling my tea anymore trying
to carry it and using both hands to steer. Also bought
some Harry and David Moose Munch. Always drooled looking
at that in their catalog. It is carmel corn with
some covered in chocolate for DH and I to share. And also
got a couple of bath towels. When DD was putting items
on pay counter I said put beverage container in my
pile. DD said Happy Mothers Day. She paid for
everything. They will be at the coast next week. So
DD said I got things I wanted for Mothers Day this
year. Sure was a nice surprise for me. *big smile*
DH doesn't feel like going out again so guess we will
have Healthy Choice frozen dinner for his birthday
    meal.

Prayers and Hugs in the Basket. Take what you need. Deery

Hello to Everyone,    I have really missed everyone.  We all seem so busy trying to keep going that there is little time for posting.  I woke up the other morning with blood all over my pillow.  For some reason my ear starting bleeding.  I called my specialist (she has her own operating unit) and she said not to worry just use an antibiodic in the ear and she would see me within a week.  It seems doctors just want you to go to the ER instead of bothering them.  This had happened once before and I had no pain so I called her.  I think the tube in my ear must have dislodged.  We'll find out tomorrow what will happen.  I have airline tickets for 6/3 and can't have any ear problems or I'll experience a lot of pain.  Thinking of Marie a lot and worried.  Hope everyone is well...............Louisa
