    Re: . . .~~ CHAT ON WHEELS ~~ . . . . . **2008**

Hello to Deery, Louisa, Javagal, Marie and all visitors, my thoughts are every day with Marie and hope she is doing well. I have not been up to anything and still try to get better feel weak on the legs.

Marcella is back on her dose, it was too hard on both of us too stressful. We tried and wish she could do without the zyprexa, she can not feel the heat in the summer and can get a sunstroke in no time. it is better to be on this and she functions so well but they had to try if she could do without, she see things and hear things, all caused by the MS. That all takes a month 14 days to get off the drug and 14 days to get back on it again

Deery first a Happy Birthday to DH a little late but well meant and it looks you had a wonderful day with DD and got spoiled that day, you deserve this.

Louisa I hope they can find out about the bleeding of the ear. My hands are still swollen again some times it go's down and I can use them again. Next week I will see doctor again.

Wish all our friends a restful night and a Happy Mothers Day,I try to post quicker!

    Hugs Susan

Hi Louisa, hope you can see a DR about your ear. Seems
like DR would want to see you ASAP.

Writing this in Notepad. If I cannot post tonight I
will post tomorrow. Oh this frustrating computer or
is it Internet provider?? And some of cause is Taste
    of Home website.

I am only able to load a few pages a day using Internet
Explorer so don't like to waste pages talking to myself.
Keep Marie in prayer and I pray someone will let us know
when there has been a change in her circumstances.

Have you noticed the raise in prices's. The big bags of
sunflower seeds for the birds went from $20 to $25. DH
said at golf course hotdogs when from $1.50 to $2. And
bottle of pepsi went up 25 cents. DH came home and made
    his lunch. *smile*

Hi to Susan and Marcella and Javagal. Hope you gals are
okay.  Susan, glad you could post. Glad Marcella is doing better on her regulas med dosage. Hope DR can find out why hand is swelling.
    Hugs,
    Deery

Happy Mothers Day to All (In case I don't post tomorrow!)  Rain, Rain go away - we were to get one to two inches of rain yesterday.  What a downpour and oh so damp.  Arthritis made me miserable.  Went to the ear doctor.  My ear was full of clots but the tube was intact.  She flushed my ear and gave me more medicine.  I must see her before our flight in June to get the all clear.  It's supposed to rain again today so I'm bundled up in a sweat shirt and still cold.  Have a terrible headache from the pollen in the air.  Really feel like doing nothing today except read.  I received the new Debbie Macomber book "Twenty Wishes" yesterday and could not put it down.  It's a run off of the Blossom Street storied.  Finished the book last night.  I know I'll read it again.  My DD will be here shortly - Norton Antivirus will expire in two days and I'm having problems with renewing it.  I tried to download on the computer but the system would not confirm my information.  So I have a disc and it keeps telling me "error"  Thank Goodness my DD is always willing to help me.  Susan, sorry about your hands hurting.  I bought gloves with a lavender scent that I put in the microwave.  After the glove is warm you slide your hand inside and it feels   heavenly.  The warmth really helps. Headache is really making me feel rotten so I'm going back to lay down.

    Take care all.........Louisa

Also wish all a Happy Mothers Day.

Louisa, hope your ears stay clear. Hope your weather warms up. I am down to 2 long sleeve layers but have to add a shawl for my shoulders at times.

DH took the monthly recycle in today.

Have a good weekend. Hugs, Deery

Hello and I wish all a Happy Mothers Day, it was anice 83 degree and by Wednesday we will have temperatures in the 90's. I feel a little better today and tomorrow we are going to Jimmy's Sister for a BBQ for the Mothers.

Amber and Jimmy went for  10 days on vacation, they went to the Kentucky Derby and then on to New York went to David Letterman Show and to Yanky's Stadium and tonight they will come home by 12pm. We will hear all the fun news, She called this morning from Central Park and you have to hear the reason why......She heard the Beatles play  Hey Jude and she said she was thinking of me her Oma  Grandma...she could hear me on the harmonica playing it. Now I have to take the harmonica with me and play it tomorrow at the BBQ.

Wish I can record it sometimes, I would send it to all of you and Marcella sings beautyful, more like an alto she can't reach the highest notes but the other notes are real good, good therapy for both of us we love music.

I hope every one has a comfortable nights rest and a wonderful Mothers Day.

    Hugs Susan

Marie has moved to a nursing home. I just got the address today--I'll send it to you in a Private Message, and you can pass it on in PMs or emails. I wouldn't want to put it on the board, though, for obvious reasons.

    Don't believe everything you think.

Good Evening to All...........I hope Marie is happy with arrangements made for her. If she can't get to a computer I hope she know she will be receiving a lot of snail mail.  The weather here is really cold and damp.  The wind keeps blowing - all our heavy deck chairs blew against the railings.  Had a wonderful Mother's Day.  Received a tea cup with baby roses from my DH and my DD gave me a dozen white roses and had a small family gathering and made chicken on the grill (My reguest) with all the vegetables and a wonderful cream cheese cake with a fruit salad of exotic fruits.  We had a grand time.  Never knew how much arthritis can affect a person.  We managed to get to therapy today but I really ache with all the exercise.  Looking forward to curling up in bed under the warm covers.  Take care all..............Louisa

Thank you Bratnella for updating us on Marie. Hope she is doing better. I sent the other gals Marie's address. I am sure happy to receive it. *smile*

Louisa, so happy you had nice Mothers Day. Hope your weather has warmed and you are not hurting so bad.

Couldn't post yesterday. Guess I used up my Internet Explorer pages ordering perscription from K. And also getting my Vitamin D report. My vitamin D is in correct range.

Weather people say we are to have sunshine and warming temperatures at end of week.

Good Morning, It took me so long to even get on TOH, then I could not see last post it stopped half way then when wanted to reply it froze up. I wish they make this BB easier for us to access. This was my gripe for this morning.

First I would like to thank Bratnella for keeping us updated about Marie you are so kind to take your time to let us know how Marie is doing.

Marie is so special to us and prayers are going to her all the time. Wish we could visit her and hope she is getting better every day. (((HUGS for MARIE)))

We had a nice BBQ and Amber made the nicest Calendar for her Mom and decided to make one for Jimmy's Mom,then she made one for her Oma ( me Grandma) and herself. They were all different with beautyful sayings. From Sylvia I got an Cutting board with Knife set from Wolfgang Puck. The nicest thing is the cutting board hides the 3 knifes in it. From Marcella I got slippers a toaster and Godiva truffels. I got spoiled again just after my birthday.

We are going to deal with some hot weather 89 yesterday, today 96, Thursday 100, Friday 101 and Saturday and Sunday in the 100's. Tripple digits yuk.Today it should be a lot of hot winds and we had no rain for a long time, so it is dangerous for the fires. We got our summer tops and pants out yesterda prepare for the sudden heat.

Louisa I also bought the stamps last week so nice they are forever stamps, Deery it should warm up for you too we also had such cold weather only in Sacramento Valley it is always hotter than any where else but like it for arthritis it does help. Marcella is back to her old self since the medicine is working again.

Wish every one a lovely day on this Wednesday.

    Hugs Susan

    Re: . . .~~ CHAT ON WHEELS ~~ . . . . . **2008**

Well I know I wrote but sure don't see it here. I will try again. We have been busy goint to appointments and aren't through yet.  I did get to go to church on Mother's Day. We just stayed home the rest of the day. Cath made lasagna and garlic toast, nothings exciting but very good. We plan on going out Sat. with her for my birhtday. Since we have appointments on Mon. and Tues, this will work out best. Prob. go to a Mexican rest.

I had a time finding my way here, I must remember to hit favorites again as it came on way back in March.

I read all the posts and glad most of you are doing OK. I don't like to hear that Susan's hands are swelling again. One of out members of Bible study had very red itchy hands and looked a little swollen to me. She wouldn't go to the doc, but they have gotten a little better.

Just heard on TV that a young girl was pulled out of the river, prob. will not make it as she was under so long.  A fireman was in tears, he had just given a speach on this happening this morn and yet parents don't listen and don't use the life jackets that in this case would have saved this girl. These are handed out free so there is no excuse!! Right after that they announced that a 2 year old had been under the water in a pool for at least 2 min. I hope he makes it.   You just can't be too careful around water.

Well it is now 99 degrees, DH said it felt hotter when he went for the mail a bit ago. I was so happy it wasn't so bad when I went to the store yest. It was bad enough as it was. I am waiting anxiously to see my new "adopted grandson"  he was born last Thurs. to my "adopted granddaughter" at Bel Air. The grandmother told me on the phone that the daddy has a mohawk so the nurses combed his hair that way!  Her husband is part Chinese, bet the baby will be really cute. DD said she will take me to see him. I hope I will be able to get into her house. May have to use a walker.

My knee has been some better so I am happy for that. I have a little box under my feet here so I won't let my legs hang, I think that helped. Still working on trying to lose weight, I just like to eat too much.

I will try to keep up better, if these appointments don't keep me too busy.  Hugs, Betty

P.S. I remember when I thought I got a note off to every one, I told you that I sent a card to Marie and intend to get one off Sun.  or Mon. Sure miss her!!

Hi Gals, I thought I had posted Wednesday but forgot I lost Internet connection. Went into Portland for DR appointment on Thursday. BB wouldn't bring up reply page last night. I finally made appointment for colonoscopy. Will stay on blood thinner during the proceedure July 3. Found out why they had not called me these last few yrs to make the appointment. They had a number wrong in our phone number. All our info is in Kaiser computers so don't know how that department had wrong number. Good thing thought because I wasn't ready to face the night before until now. We are having our 3rd day of hot weather. I am finally warm after the long winter.

Susan, glad you had a nice Mothers Day. Enjoy the calendar. Glad Marcella is doing better.

Javagal, so good to have you posted. Have missed your posting. Hope you will soon have the appointments out of the way. Enjoy your birthday dinner.

Louisa, hope you and DH are having better weather. And having a nice weekend.

Continued Prayers for Marie. Hope she is doing better and getting adjusted to new place. Did here that some high winds went thru that area during the week. Hope that area stayed safe.

    Hugs, Deery

Cake Day late Happy Birthday to Javagal. Hope you had enjoyable day.

Outdoor scooter steering column is fixed. And DH fixed flat tire on Monday. Hurray Hurray! We are back to cool weather pattern. Overcast. Little rain sprinkles at times. Breeze at times.

Susan and Marcella, Hope you are having just right weather. Susan, how are your hands doing?

Louisa, are you getting warmer weather? Sure helps the body.

Hope Marie is doing better. I imagine she still has healing to do. And she will need PT to regain her strength. ((((Marie)))

Wishing all a very good day.
