    Hi Healthy Ones!

I had a long day at Miss Nancy's. She still didn't go out today but hopefully will feel up to it on Monday.  I made sure she had a good B'fast and for lunch I went to Quizno's and picked us up some of the cute and delicious sammies, with a salad and cup of soup- yum. I went to the grocery store for her first and then by Q. and then back to her place. She got a much needed nap while I was shopping.  The mail had come also so got that for her. She was expecting some eye drops from her Dr. - they mailed them yesterday- she got them today. Hopefully, they will help her itchy eyes.  They are supposed to be potent and the nurse had mailed a sample so she wouldn't have to buy them (really expensive)so that was nice.

Dusta, I love denim capris- have more of them than other colors. :) A girl can't have too many capris. lol

Dawn, I know, can't imagine not having a pair of jeans. :) She seems excited about getting a pair. :)

Yikes on the snow Jolene, guess you are busy shoveling out today! :)

MIriam! Welcome back! I have been wondering where you were. :) I cleaned our bathrooms really good yesterday- tomorrow will be yard sales - YEAH! and hopefully will get the rest of the house cleaned too. :)

Kim, glad to see all is well with you and the therapy is going well! :)

Jen, don't feel bad, I wore my capris while it was cold too,...it is warm now.....for today anyway! It was 76 today Yeah! Not sure how long it will last though.

Speaking of oatmeal,Miss Nancy had a box that was waaaay out of date- talking 2005! Yikes!  I told her about it and she cracked up that her oatmeal was that old and she was settling for soaking the old  hard raisins to soften them. I told her that  she deserved to eat fresh raisins and oatmeal(and took care of that by replacing them while grocery shopping. :)  She knows ....good grief, thinking about going through her entire pantry next week- having nightmares thinking about rancid oils and such. :(  She can't smell. :(

    Have a great weekend all!

    Night!

Muril the out of date thing, Mel does it too. One time he had 3 jars of mayo and 2 were out of date and one was almost. They had been on sale and he bought them, saved a $, then I got rid of them. Takes him a while to eat a jar of mayo and he said he had never noticed dates before. I cleaned out the freezer and found veggies that were dried balls of ice that had been in there way before his wife died.

Didn't make it to the outlet mall yesterday, it's just down the highway, can go later. We have extended out stay here for 2 more weeks. The people from Canada that were coming to Mel's house would have to drive from here (coming here first) to Bossier,8 hour drive, and Mel ask them if it would help them if we just stayed here. The wife has, don't know how to spell it, what Ronald Regan had. They were going to stay 3 weeks, but the people at the support group thought it might not be good for her.

I decided to ride the bike in the morning, glad I did it was windy in the afternoon. Then we went and put flowers on his DM grave.

Did I say good morning?  Muril have fun garage saleing!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Fingers crossed....

    Happy Saturday Healthy Ones!

Jolene, sorry about your computer problemos- seems like it is having a bunch of them lately- maybe it's the snow. :)

Dusta, I almost froze my tootsies off at the y.s. this morning. What happened to our Spring weather?? Sad It is 45 degrees today and seems like it is cold enough to snow. :) Oh well. I did find four cute little "hull" pottery bowls- not sure if they are small soup bowls but I like them and a gravy boat in Jackson china brand. It is  practical if I can remember to use it. :) These finds were only .10 each. :)  It was an Estate sale and inside but most of the y.s. (outside ones) - no one had anything of interest. :( Oh well, just the start of the season. :) They had an adorable corner hutch at the inside sale but we don't have anywhere to put it. Big Smile

Ok, off to eat an early lunch and then off to Sam's for some basics.

Muril, don't you wish it, the weather, would makes up it mine? It is still warm here, cloudy, and I rode the bike early this morning. Was out when they played "our" song, all the cars stop and if there are any military out, I saw a group of them, stop, stand at attention and salute the flag. Chills.

I finally made it back with ginger, left it in basket first time, and got my muffins made yesterday. They are MOIST and wonderful. Finally found room in freezer, if left out they grow mold after a few days.

Re: HL Topic of the week 3/24 to 3/30 Spring Makeover for your Pantry!

Dusta, I found time to clean the hardwoods and dust today. I even used a wet paper towel(on knees) to get most  of the dirt spots up so the floors are shiney and I dusted the furniture. I still need to get the office and vacuum two rooms and the stairs- can't believe we put carpet on some of the stairs -should have been smarter and got hardwoods only. ;)  Oh well, live and learn.

BTW, your muffins sound wonderful. I am thinking of making some banana nut muffins. I have three frozen bananas to use up. LOL on the ginger. I do that sometimes. :)

I  bought some healthy fare at Sam's- bananas, spinach, romaine, raisins, Kashi cinnamon shredded wheat and some more things- that was the healthy stuff though. :)  I saw some dried bananas that were chunky and moist but didn't get them. I guess they must have the texture of something like dried mango- probably good but decided real bananas might be a better buy. :)

Hope all are having a wonderful Saturday. I think I will check out my face yoga book- kinda interesting.

    Hugs to all,

Running through, wishing everyone a good morning.   Jake was so high maintenance yesterday, and he made my lunch out/shopping with my sister not very much fun.    My BP is way up, can feel my pulse in my temples almost all the time.    I'm up at 6:30 because I need to clean the bathrooms and mop the kitchen floor, and do all the other odds and ends before his parents get here.      I know it's not illness or life or death, but if you've got some spare good thoughts to send my way, I could really use them.    I just have a bad feeling today isn't going to go well.   Inlaws are bad enough, but then factor in 2+ hours in the car with them....   I just hope they don't ruin what's been a fun family tradition.

Muril, I found some Face Yoga stuff for tomorrow, very interesting!

Sorry I can't reply to everyone.    Tim got the filter fixed but now I can't do the Open in a new Window thing.

Good morning. Been out on the bike this morning and had breakfast, oatmeal. I am out of bread, mine started growing mold, only add 4 slices left. Usuallly keep it in freezer because it takes a while to eat a loaf.

Hope your day goes well Jolene. Hi Muril.

Hi Dusta!  I am planning soup for supper. We are having such cold temps- 30s..... BRRR! :)   This morning when I got up, DH said there is a lion out there. lol I looked outside and the patio had ice on it. Yes, March is ending with a lion- just a baby one though. :) The roads weren't bad though and it has stopped icing and raining for now.

    Have a lovely Sunday!

{{Muril}}   You are such a dear sweet thing, and your boys' future wives will be lucky to have you as a MIL.   Mine however, is not.   She commented on: dishes in my sink, what Jake was wearing, what I spent at the syrup place, what I ordered for lunch, and on and on.   And I gritted my teeth and put my fingernails into my palms.    Glad it's over.

Waving to Dusta, hope you had good weather and a nice day.

Good to see Kim & Miriam back   :)

Hello to all, can't wait to close out this week and move on!

Your mil thinks it's ok to talk to like she wants to. When I was younger I sure I wouldn't have said anything, but now I would tell someone like her my DH doesn't talk to me like that  and I wish you wouldn't. With a smile. Sorry things didn't go well.

    (((Jolene))), Good Grief. :(

Dusta, It is still cold and dreary here. I made turkey/veggie soup- using up some of the leftover frozen turkey breast from Easter.
