    Re: 3/24/08 Grannies Neighborhood

Back and have DH all fed now. He was complaining that he was hungry. He is feeling better this morning and not so weak and shaky as yesterday, thankfully. Maybe seeing the sunshine has helped him, too. He has to go for a pressure eye check this afternoon, after we had to cancel the other one when our car battery died.

Alby, I wonder if DH fed me a cookie I would go for a walk - Nah!

Laurie, enjoy the time with your folks.

Nancy, the boys don't pay for their fuel, but that could effect their jobs anyway! And it WILL effect our groceries and other items!  I wish we could get to Menards easily. I sure miss going there.  Smile Now WM is in Decorah, (smaller town) they should get some of these chain "lumber" stores, too. But know it won't happen.

Suzi, how nice for all of you, a new baby. Is this the DD who has been trying to get PG?  Maybe about time to go to Lima?

Have one load washed and going to see about hanging some of the larger items outside. Saying windy and 42*. There is just a low layer of hard snow under the lines. Feel so good to just get outside!

Just refreshed and see Suzi is here.  Glad their plans are going on schedule. My "babies" were all 3 surprises! Smile

Gramsuzi....congrats on the new expected ggc. How exciting!

Alby...good thing you have Albert trained...LOL  He keeps you on track.

    Time to get moving.....BBL

    Good morning to all!

My state computer is giving me fits this morning so figured I'd teach it a lesson and come over here for a while.  LOL.

Suzi, congratulations on the new baby.  When is it due, or did you say?  No more DGC in my family either.  Next will be DGGC and that can wait for some years yet.  DGD is only 17 so we need to get her out of school and college first, then married.  Plus she is terrified of a needle so I think it will be a long time before she would ever think about having a baby.

It was 19 at home today.  Up to 32 now.  I'm sure cold in here.  Should have wore a different top.  Air must be blowing from above and it isn't warm.  Brrrrrr!

Well time for me to go hunting for some garbage bags.  Need to put one in my waste basket.

    BBL.

ATV thes are leslie tapes, I like her workouts, she is coming out with some really good ones. I go to her websit and can see all the new ones she has then I go to overstock and get them cheaper. I let you know how these new ones work out. Did her three mile today, want to save some energy for the new tapes tonight.

Well I have to run over to John's he has my truck and now that he got one this week-end he don't need mine so my ds is helping me go get it, and kris will stay with the little one and I will bring them back some lunch.

    Re: 3/24/08 Grannies Neighborhood

    Good morning everyone.

This morning I was up at 7:30, but had to take care of the kids before anything else, then I started a load of dark clothes. The sun is shinning so nicely, but the wind is chilly, The temp is only 18*. The chilly air doesn't bother Buddy at all, he loves the snow too.

This morning I called for a haircut at my usual place, but Shawna has off. I was hoping i could get it cut before the funeral tomorrow, but no such luck. I'll just go with my football helmet haircut. hehe No one will care anyway. I did get an appointment for Wednesday after work. Also Buddy goes in for his free vet check tomorrow at 3:45. Maybe we will learn how close to 3 months old he is and that he really is a cocker. He sure is a bundle of furry energy.

Suzi, congratulations on the new DGC. There will only be the one for me. I hope you live close enough to get lots of babby snuggles.

MA, I think I need to go back to work to rest too. LOL But I am sure you enjoyed your time off as much as I have.

MJ, nothing could be finer than a coffe grinder. Love the fresh taste of freshly ground coffee. I hope your tummy gets to feeling better soon.

Nancy, do you lose Russell in Menards? I am forever losing Mark in there. Then I'll just stand in the middle of the store and wait for him to find me. hehehe

It's time to take down some of the Easter things and put up some Spring things. Maybe mother nature will get the hint!!!!  She is going to have to work hard to get rid of all this snow.

     Goooood Morning, Grannies!!

Another cold, 5, sunny start to the day. It sounds like spring isn't coming here this week yet. More snow in the forecast for later this week.No

MJ, I hope you are feeling better today.

Suzi, Such exciting news for you. Glad things are going as planned for them. All three of mine were planned. Though we were planning to start DD about two months later. I guess we practiced to often. Big Smile Unless a surprise is thrown in we are at the end of DGC.

Mimib, I hope SIL is feeling better today and the test goes well.

MaryAnn, It sounds like a great mission project for your church.

Jan, It sounds like a fun week for you.

Jane, That lemon  dessert sounds like a great addition to breakfast.

Mamma, You are taking down Easter things. I still have my snowmen up. But as they look out the window all they see is snow anyway. So I think they feel right at home. Though here and there is a little grass peeking out.

We went to Fleet this morning to buy almonds. Then stopped at Pamida for cold remedies. We wanted something for night time, but lot of it is labeled non-drowsy. Indifferent  Even what the dr had suggested for DH was non-drowsy so went with something else.

Not sure what else I will do today. I am waiting for new blades for my rotary cutter. They should come today, I HOPE.

Everyone have a great day. Those under the weather, get better soon.

    Re: 3/24/08 Grannies Neighborhood

Well just a quick stop I am not going to answer everyone or I will be here until noon. It looks like everyone is having pretty nice weather today and the work is going on all over the place. I have one load in the washer ready for the dryer I am sure. I had washed the Bostons dog beds and this morning I wrestled the covers back onto the foam forms. I was surprised I could do it. Not perfect but they are on.

Lily I don't think the coffee tastes in different I just enjoy grinding it. I know that is silly but then we all have our little pleasures in life don't we LOL . One child here was a surprise and one was planned. Ok Lily Ican understand #2 and #3 being surprises but how could #1 have been a surprise. You have not mentioned him lately how is he doing?

Jane is your DS having a better time eating now?  Dessert for breakfast sounds good to me. however I settled for eggs which I shared with 3 beggers.

Kathie that is one more than I have and I doubt if I ever will have any. #2  does not want children #1 would but it takes two you know. It is fine with me I really don't want my kids to have kids to many bad genes that I and their Dad passed on. Time to bring them to a halt. They can just get puppies and kittens and that will work for me. I looked at the avatar thing once and decided it was something I did not need to learn.

Stylist cute pot pun and I will leave it at that No

Alby it is your own fault you taught Albert that routine and now you have to live with it LOL. Sort of like how Itaught mine that they could beg.Dog

Lauriet hope you have a good visit with your parents.

Nancy I am always surprised at the cool things I see at Menards. Wish I had a person to put them in for me.  My DH was an awkward left handed person and not very good at doing repairs LOL. He generally used the phone to get stuff done .

Lily I heard on TV that a lot of truckers have slowed downa bit to conserve gas. I wonder if some are shutting off the trucks more when they are sleeping now. I know Doug always left his running either for warmth or for the AC.

Jan enjoy your few days away. I bet the DGS will appreciate any goodies that are forth coming.

Wanda your office needs better janitorial services to put liners in waste baskets and TP in the potty rooms LOL. Do you have to do your own vacumming also?

Well Mamma his picture sure looks like a cocker. Whatever he is a joy I am sure. Did you get him from a shelter? Had you been thinking about getting another dog or are you like me and adopt on impulse?

My Easter stuff will be up for a bit. Some never made it to the up stage.

I have a gardening question for you ladies with green thumbs. I bought a pot of tulips they are through blooming and the green stuff has all died down. I am tired of looking at the pot. Should I dig up the bulbs now and should I put them in an onion bag or old nylon or something until fall? I really hate messing with dirt lol .

Ok I am out of here time to shake a leg lol .

Quick SSD for me. I have been on the phone all morning it seems. Just seem to have days like that.  Wink

Can't seem to get started on my work this am. DH is gone for awhile so I should really be working. Not just talking and posting.

Must find something for supper and get it thawed out. Have a load in washer and one just finished in the dryer. It is time to rotate.

Well I have read everything and had better get up from here.    BBL

Here's my theme song, "on the road again..."  I'll try to check in while I am gone. The guard cat is on duty while I'm away, but feel free to clean the basement if you're in the area.  You will have to pet the cat(s), of course.  Blessed be...

Lunch time and we have to leave in an hour for DH's eye appt. I've done three loads of laundry today and still have two left to go. That's more than I usually have! Trying to get caught up on tablecloths and rugs, that I have left in the hamper for a while.

CJ, as soon as it warms up a bit, I'm calling some friends for coffee. It's just been too old to want to go anywhere. I'm sure you had a great lunch.

Jan, have fun with your family.

Wanda, are you all rested from your big day yesterday?

Mamma, I took all my Easter stuff down this morning.

Fran, I thought it was cold at 16, but your 5 was much worse! I hope practice made it perfect! Wink

MJ, #1 was a surprise because we were just foster parents, until they called and asked if we'd be interested in adopting him. That was the surprise!  He is doing fine now, well, as fine as he can be!

It is up to 32*, but a wind chill in the teens. The "warm" south wind is very cold!

Forgot to add that Grammy should just be flying over Ohio on her way to Florida by now. She said her flight was at 1 p.m.

    Re: 3/24/08 Grannies Neighborhood

MJ, I had decided long ago, no more pets. But Mark wanted to stop at the shelter on his way to WM. As luck would have it there was a puppy that came in on Thursday, after his last visit there. And I ask you, could you turn down those sad cocker eyes and sloppy kisses? LOL  Me either. I'm a sucker for puppies and my heart melts and I want them all, God help me. So you could say it was an impulse adoption. We've never adopted before, and i was impressed and surprised at all the paper work involved. Almost like adopting a human child. hehe Buddy was not neutered yet, but we promised that would be done. Enough people there knew us so they took our word for it. it will be done too as soon as he is old enough. I just can't  believe he was left alone in the apartment when the first parents moved. That just burns my behind.Angry

This morning while I was washing clothes, I made apple cinnamon crispies for the kids. That one is Liza's favorite treat. Now it's Buddy's too. Hope they work to get him house trained quicker.

Fran, I should've left snowmen out here too, no grass in sight just snow.

The wind is just awful today, it blows Liza and Buddy's ears like flags in the wind. Temp is 32 and the sun decided to take a nap now.

The ironing isn't doing itself so I had better get at it. I hope Buddy can stay out of the way that long. hehe
