Applebees tomato basil soup recipe is, in my opinion, one of the best soup recipes, let alone tomato basil soup recipes, I’ve ever tasted in an American chain restaurant. I have not been able to find many good clones of Applebee’s tomato basil soup recipe out there and as a result have gone and experimented in the kitchen a good deal in an attempt to get it just right.
My first attempt at cloning Applebees tomato basil soup recipe was a bit of a disaster. V8 juice heated up on the stove top would have been nicer. My second attempt at cloning Applebees tomato basil soup recipe was a bit closer, but I used a bit too much Heavy cream and butter, and in the end it wasn’t quite tomato-y enough, and the amount of cream made the color a bit too pink to be very appetizing.
About ready to give up on my attempt to create my own Applebees tomato basil soup recipe, I made a few more tweaks an low and behold - perfection. Or in my opinion, pretty darn close too it. Second only to Applebees tomato basil soup recipe itself, I think you’ll enjoy my interpretation of this American restaurant favorite, Applebees tomato basil soup recipe.
