Hi Toni!  I live clear on the other side of the country and a few years back, actually, it was quite a few maybe about 25 or more, we had snow on April 6th.  Yep.  And, when I told this to a poster here, Blue Denim,  I don't know where she lives, she said they had snow in May not too long ago!

Can you say Climate Change aka Global Warming?

Hey, my ears were burning!  Several years ago on May 10th we had about 5-6 inches of snow.  It was Mother's Day weekend in northern lower Michigan.  Nothing surprises me about the weather around here anymore, especially as far as snowfall goes.  Usually, at this time of year my daffs and crocus are poking through but they are buried by mounds of snow.  We got 156 inches of snow this season which is more than we've had in the last 7 years.

I think they were saying snow flurries for tonight, but, changed it,. It is suppose to be in the 30's though. Back into the 60's in a couple of days. Looks like we are going to have a late spring. The frogs are c roacking, though.

Ha! You should try living in Colo. Yesterday I posted about our crazy weather here in the northern part...Wed. we had a high of 70º and Thurs. morning, when I looked outside it was snowing, but it didn't snow for long, and within ten minutes, what had been on the ground was melted. Later that morning, the sun was trying to peek through the clouds, but didn't make it until late that afternoon, at almost sunset. March is normally our snowiest month, but this year we are far behind here on the plains. The mountains, however, have their biggest snowfall totals in years...most of the ski areas are extending their seasons because of the near record snows.

Toni...I forgot to mention.  The photo challenge has been taken over by Gramofnine and will be done several days a week instead of every day.  This was by popular demand.  Saturdays challenge will be to take a picture of a jigsaw puzzle you've done, or maybe a pic of the box cover. The next challenge day is Sunday (which AKFishergirl will start).  The challenge is to take a picture of the seafood section in your grocery store.  If I remember right, Gramofnine will post what the challenges will be during the week and AKF will handle it on Sundays, for now.

Hi Toni.. Although it is rare it is not unusal. My dh has lived in Oregon his whole life and has seen snow on the 4th of July, in K Falls. Even here in the Umpqua Valley we have had hail in late April. Don't pack up just yet. I am sure we have much more to offer then warm weather. :)

Doubt seriously it has anything to do with global warming either. Weather goes in cycles and we are  in an La Nina year.

I remember a few years back, we had a "White Easter."  That was hard to dress up the family for in their new Spring clothes.
