Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea, April 1!

Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea. This morning I am dedicating our tea party to the fun and frolic of April Fools Day! It is a giggle and a joy that has memories I truly treasure. I am very much enjoying my 'Kusmi, Russina Morning Tea'. It tastes like Red Rose used to taste when I was a child.

Thank you so much for the wonderful thoughts and prayers sent to Grandpa Harry and I. He is still dreadfully ill and weak, but not suffering anything that can be overcome. He remains a gentle man and I am proud of him.

Dear Carole, I love, love love your family party! Please, let me be your long lost cousin and invite me to share!

Dear Kathy, CHicken Tongues? Ok, I draw my line there. I think I would go away very hungry and needing a splendid sandwich! What a lovely tea experience. You are such a fine activity planner and I would love to go anywhere with you.

Please my Dear Friends, have tea and smile, life feels endless...but it is not. Love Big and Laugh Lots. Your very grateful hostess and friend, Mary

A very good morning from the west coast.  Another beautiful day in the forcast.  We truly are blessed with beautiful days here.  The summer does get hot but I guess it gets hot all over.

Mary, I am so glad to see you check in with us.  We know what is going on and I want you to know you have a huge support system here.  Come and sit with us to just get things off your mind.  We are here to be your sounding board and good friends.  Hugs, my friend.

Carole, I'm up and at em.  My hair even grew so I could get my sweet red velcro rollers but it seems like I've been picking them up off the floor when I turn my head.  LOL

    Smiles to share with everyone!

    Kathy

     Good Mornin', Tea Angels!

{{{{{Mary and Papa}}}}} - I hope that you know my prayers for the both of you have been unending. All the struggles you have ever faced, you inspire me and so many others with just how strong you really are and how you always manage to persevere and tough it through. There isn't a day goes by I don't wonder how you do it. But I do believe that prayer and your faith is the answer. As I struggle in my day to day challenges I keep your example in the forefront and that inspiration speaks volumes to my heart and soul. I pray, too, that Grandpa find the strength he needs to get from moment to moment and be able to find peace and comfort. My prayers continue for the rest of the family as well. I'm sure, Sweet Mary, they take their lead from you.

Carole - How's the knee doing. I don't believe I've ever seen cayenne lotion. But I'll bet there's a lot of heat in it. I take cayenne capsules and actually make my own. It's a bit messy and time consuming. But the money saved is well worth the time and effort. I am always astounded at the price tags put on herbal-type remedies sold in health food stores and a few other places. Someone is surely getting rich. lol Anyway, a number of years ago, I found a capsule maker and now buy my gelatin capsules and bulk cayenne through a food co-op my oldest brother belongs to. As I said, it can be messy and take much time. But the money saved is amazing

Kathy - I'm with Mary. I'd glady travel with you and would thoroughly enjoy the adventures!! :o) You do seem to find fun in everything you do!

Anne - I see you popped in to say hello! It's wonderful to see you again. That snow you got the other night? We had a bit of that a couple weeks ago. I hadn't seenhuge snowballs like that float down from the sky for several years. It was dark and I actually had to step outside and look up so I could thoroughly enjoy it and enjoy it I did. Took me back to memories of childhood when we used lay on the ground when it was snowing like that and try to catch those huge flakes on our tongues. Yesterday we had quite a big snow event and though the flakes weren't that huge, I did have a blast watching some kids across the street playing in the snow and when they finally lay on their backs looking up at the falling snow, I so wanted to go out and join them. I wonder what they'd have thought of this 50-something year old lady plopping down in the snow alongside them and asking them if I could play too. roflol :O)

Elza - Oh boy but I do know that feeling of being on your feet for so many hours and at the end of the day you just don't even want to move once you sit down. Been there, done that, and likely will again! Glad you have a few days where you can find some relaxation.

Good to see Audrey and bdett stopping by, too. I do wonder where so many others have gone off to. I so miss Susan, Judi, LisaFaye, Debra, Gay, Joan, Donelle, Ms Yvonne, Germanlady and so many others. I hope all are doing well and will come back as they are able.

Well, yesterday was very snowy and blustery and today the sun is so bright it almost hurts your eyes to look outside at the new snow-comforter that blankets everything. Already it is melting quickly and dripping everywhere. The streets are wet and have little snow left on them. Any snow that comes this late in the season never stays around long. I expect by days end, we'll be seeing more grass than snow. It's hard to say how much we got as it was melting even as it fell yesterday!

Time to go check in on Recipes and SS. Then it'll be time to see what I can get accomplished before the day is over.

Have a fantabulous Tuesday, Angels! Prayers going up for all!

Good evening dearest of friends in tea,  It started out raining this morning then after lunch it turned out to be a pretty day.

Mary,  oh yeah Aunt Mary,  we missed you at the family get together.  You know you are welcome anytime and bring the family.  You know me, well all of us we can throw together a meal in no time if we decide to get together.  Usually it is not a special occasion.  Hope Grandpa Harry is doing better.  Prayers are with you and your family.

Kathy,  you are going to have to put pins in the rollers to keep them in.  But think of it this way,  look at the exercise you get from bending over to pick them up.  LOL.  Have a great day girlfriend

Kay,  That sounds interesting making  your own cayenne capsules.  I don't think I would have the patience to make my own.  I am suspose to go back to the doctor in two weeks.  So we will see what happens then.

Well I need to go finish my supper.  We are having meatballs in onion gravy, rice, rolls, and sweet peas.  Cupcakes with chocolate or vanilla frosting for dessert.  Everybody come on down for supper.

Have a great afternoon, evening, night and sweet dreams everyone

    Hugs

    Carole

Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea. Todays' Tea Party is Dedicated to 'Laughter and Rainbows'. Yes, no matter where you are or what you are doing...one or the other is right around the corner. I am looking foreward to a day filled with good work and more than one good cups of tea. It surprises me and excites me at the same time.

I am a hyperactive optimist with a learning disability.  There are some people who would  call that an illness and want to cure it. That's a horrible thought. I can't believe it.

As for a good tea blend for today....its a cup of joy, with a sunny sky and lots of good friends to share in it. Your very grateful hostess and friend, Mary

I think we need a theme song for such an auspicious occasion.....how about, 'You got to admit it's getting better....it's getting better, all the time!"

Even if you think you have a voice like a frog, croak along. It's going to be a beauty of a concert.

Let me clear my throat and sing out a very happy and good morning to everyone!  I'm part of Mary's  choral.  Aren't we fabulous?  Come join us.  Remember, Elza is on the piano and mary is on the harp.

It is going to be a beautiful day with some talk of rain in the near future, which is always a good thing here.

Where the heck has everyone been?  Most of our friends are in hiding.  Come out and play, won't you?

    Hugs

Re: Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea, April 1!

Jean, I think you need to just keep right on sitting there and get some rest! You have had a house full!

What a beautiful day today -- sunshine and cool temps, but supposed to get lots and lots of rain tomorrow and Friday. Oh well. I got my housecleaning and laundry done yesterday and today, and tomorrow I am going to go shopping and then to the Red Cross to give platelets. After that I will come home and lay on the sofa because it does leave me feeling tired.

Yesterday I did lots of cooking -- 2 chicken pot pies and 3 pans of lasagna. We had one of the pot pies last night and one of the pans of lasagna is going to our church potluck tonight. The rest are to go to couples in our church who have just had/are just about to have new babies. I cannot make beautiful crafty baby things but I can put a meal in your freezer! Oh, and I just finished mixing up cookie dough to bake tomorrow -- LinnieG's Oatmeal Wheat Germ Chocolate Chip Cookies. They are for a co-worker's birthday. I'll find the recipe and post it for you -- it is so good and at least you feel like there is something healthy in it! So get a glass of milk, or a cup of tea, and have a nice warm chocolate chip cookie with me --

LinnieG's Oatmeal Wheat Germ Chocolate Chip Cookies (with my tweaks)

    2 sticks butter

    1 cup sugar

    1 cup brown sugar

    2 eggs

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    1-1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup wheat germ (I toast this first for about 20 min. in a 350 degree oven)

     1 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1/2 tsp. cinnamon

    2 cups quick cooking oats

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (I use 1 cup semi-sweet and 1 cup milk chocolate chips)

    1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugars in large mixing bowl. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. In smaller bowl, mix flour, wheat germ, salt, baking soda & cinnamon. Stir into creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in oats, then chocolate chips and nuts. Shape into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

Elza, you are a cooking maniac!!!  Good for you to get things done ahead of time.  Thank you so much for posting that cookie recipe!  I would love to know your potpie recipes as well.

Hope everyone had a fabulous day, today.  I came home and decided I wasn't cooking.  Earl doesn't know it yet.  LOL!!  He just took my car up town to get smogged.  Won't he be surprised to come home and see nothing on the table for him?  Katts, where are you when I need you?

Carole, what are you making tonight?

Jean, it is soooo good to hear from you.  You need to totally take a break from the family.  I think it's time to get out the ole motorhome and go somewhere peaceful.  LOL!

    Hugs

    Good evening angels,

Boy it has been a bad day.  We went live with our updated computer system.  It has been a rough day.  Everyone is stressing out about entering orders.  Except me.  I have been busy putting in my orders, and helping everyone else.  Anyway tomorrow is another day.

Kathy,  I am having spaghetti for supper tonight.  I just wanted something easy.

Well I have a headache and I am so tired.  Let me get off here and finish my spaghetti and go lay down or go out side and sit on the swing.

    Have a great afternoon everyone

    Hugs

    Carole
