    Wii Bowling Party Ideas

    Hello everyone,

I seem to recall seeing a spread on recipes appropriate for a bowling party in either my Taste of Home, Quick Cooking, or Simple & Delicious magazines. I have searched but am coming up empty. Does anyone happen to know what issue that was in? Or does anyone have any great suggestions for bowling party themed food? I thought I would make a cheese ball into a bowling pin and a chocolate cake into a bowling ball but beyond that -- I am just thinking of normal food served at the lanes. This is an adult Wii Bowling Tournament that I am hosting - I want it to be super special! Thanks in advance for any help!

I found a post that said:

One thing you can do with the foods you serve is to give them creative bowling term names like:

    Gutter Balls - Meat balls
Sleeping Kingpins - Pigs in a blanket
    Turkeys - Turkey sandwiches
    Strikes - Nachos
    "Fowl" Line - Chicken tenders
    Spares - BBQ ribs
    Splits - Hot Dogs
    7-10 Split - Pizza slice
    Perfect Game Punch

    It sounds cute!

I think it would be easier to do a bowling pin cake and a bowling ball cheese ball.

Here is a site for the cake, I did this for my son's birthday. you bake a 9x13 cake then but into a bowling pin. I am not crafty but this was an easy cake.  I then took the corners and put them on the bowling pin and tons of choc frosting to make a bowling ball.  I used three tea lights for the holes in the ball.
