~~NEW GRANDMA IN TOWN~~

HELLO!!  i just returned home this afternoon.  phew! that was quite an exciting week!!

my new granddaughter was born Thursday, March 27, 11:34 pm.  7lbs 11 oz, 18" long.

I left home at 5:00 am, last thrus. to take the train to my DD's. as most of you know she was booked to have a c-section on friday a.m.

DD called my cell phone, while i was on the train, telling me that she thought she was in labour!! yikes!!!!!  our day of planned city shopping , turned out to be a day in labour!!

she had the baby within one hour after arriving at the hospital!!  she was able to have the natural birth she so wanted to have.

quite alot of excitement!!!  i was awake over 22 hours!!

mommy and baby doing fine. very happy, very healthy.

my DD was driving up to see the new baby, and bring me home. after ALOT of trouble with our old van.......it was not safe to drive. so the plan changed, i was taking the train home tuesday afternoon.

BUT, then another change in plans, my youngest DD's fiance offered his truck, so i cancelled the train ticket and DH arrived last night.

we called Crea this morning......and no answer. i have been soooooooooo busy, and things have been crazy!!

i am so disappointed that i did not have a time slot to visit with her.  i did not have access to a car, and really not too good with city buses etc.

we will be going back up soon.........hopefully see YF and Crea!! and Andre too!!

anyway, one tired grandma......but a very happy one too.

just so good to be home.......i need my own bed!! lol

well congrat grandma on surviving the week on next to no sleep, and enjoying the beautiful granddaughter.  So glad she got the birth the way she wanted it.

So glad to hear it all went well.  Just think of family get togethers now, they just keep getting bigger and bigger!  How fun!

A new, happy, healthy lil bundle of joy....and mischief!...Ohhh, in another year!!!

And in the meantime, a wonderful bundle to cuddle!

I'm jealous!!

Congratulations grandma, wow a new baby girl how exciting. Have they picked out a name yet Katie?  I bet you must be exhausted, better hit the bed early tonight.

When are you planning on going back to London?  How many grandchildren does that maked for you Katie?  They are truly a blessing so innocent and pure, little angels a gift from GOD.

that makes 6grandchildren.........three girls, three boys. ages 6, 4, 2, 18 months, 10 months and of course our new addition! 

I hope to get back to London in a month or so. i am very busy at work.........and my youngest DD will be moving in a few weeks.

phew!  i am heading to bed early

Congratulations, Grandma Katie on your new bundle of joy!!! Our oldest is 5 1/2, and we have 3, So you have us beat! They're fun, eh?

thanks girls! i did enjoy my own bed last night!  i really missed my granddaughter that lives with us! she was so happy to see me! and........would NOT let me leave the room, nor put her down. i so wish my DD lived closer. my wee grandson told his mommy ......" I lost my grandma"  i cannot wait to see them all again.   i also missed seeing Crea and YF.  it was a whirlwind visit to say the least!!
