1874 STONEHOUSE CAKE

". We had it while staying there

is located in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas
Ingredients:
FILLING:
1/2 c. (just a little under) sugar
1 T. cinnamon
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
CAKE:
1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. oil
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
3/4 c. water
1 t. vanilla
1/2 -1 c. fresh or frozen fruit (thawed), if desired
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350
Mix filling & set aside.
Mix together all cake ingredients and beat until light & fluffy (about 3 min.).
Generously grease a bundt pan & pour in 1/2 cake batter.
Slightly hollow the center of the cake & pour in
filling.
At this point you made add the fruit.
Pour in the rest of the cake batter.
Bake for 1 hour.
Remove and cool on a rack until completely cool then invert
onto a cake plate.
Glaze if desired.
This cake may be kept in the pan for up to 3 days if covered
with foil.
