Goodmorning ladies....well we had a nice evening last nite, my DD and SIL came over with the baby, and I got more pics of that little peanut.....you know its so so cute that he loves when you take his diaper off and boy does he smile now...I tell you I was like melted butter when he looked at me with those beautiful big eyes and just cooed...

Well today I have to go and check the mail and have to go to Rite Aid to pick up a few things...but now I have to go and feed my chickens..

Have a very nice day everyone, I will be back in a bit...

Good Morning Everybody...a grey, but warm morning. We are supposed to get some severe thunderboomers later this afternoon. I suppose we have to accept Mother Nature every once in a while, don't we?

I was supposed to have lunch with Rett today but had to back out...I think the GERD has stepped in once again and I have to be careful to eat non-seasoned and non-fried foods. Doesn't leave much to the imagination for meals. I had unseasoned chicken broth with brown rice and plain toast for dinner last night. Have a doc's appointment next week to address the issue.

I, presetly, don't have a patient, but should be getting one the end of this week or next. All depends.

Have a great day and I will check back later to talk.

Re: ~*~GOODMORNING ALL SAHW**COME ON IN AND CHAT AWHILE~*~

Good morning, all. Yes, our lunch was postponed due to illness. But we have rescheduled for later this week!

It's supposed to be warm again today, but storms later as TM said. Ah, spring!

I am fixing the chicken salad again for dinner tonight. I have the second half of the sirloin I grilled last night, so maybe that will be lunch.I need to go to the grocery to be sure I have everything I need for my 2 catering jobs next week.

Hey, Miss Chicken, so glad you've been joining us. You're welcome any time you wish! We're not the most exciting group on the board, but we manage to have a good time. Sorry you're so waterlogged. Not fun.

TM, keep drinking that broth and eating that toast! I want you well later in the week!!! Seriously, take care of yourself.

So, BF, did you get your freezer stocked yesterday? I'm on the hunt for the best price on chicken breasts today. Don't want to have to charge my DSis next week!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Re: ~*~GOODMORNING ALL SAHW**COME ON IN AND CHAT AWHILE~*~

Good morning all..not much on my agenda today. The usual laundry and house work.  We are having some leftovers from last night for dinner tonight. Sounds exciting doesn't it..LOL

TM..I suffer from  GERD also. Had an endoscopy last year but it didn't resolve anything..he just wanted to see if my esophagus had suffered any damage over the years. I take a Prilosec every morning and am very careful to not to eat to much at one time.  Hope your tummy is better real soon so you and rett can get that lunch in. That meal you had doesn't sound to good..

LC..Wow that is some kind of weather you people have in OK. Do y'all have to tie yourselves down occasionally? LOL Tornadoes scare the bejeebers out of me.

Pam..I'll bet your were some happy grandma to see your little peanut...

Rett..how are you fixing those chicken breasts for your sister?  Did you get to enjoy the porch yet?

    Have a good day..Bonnie

    Hey Rett and Bonnie....

Rett I got a little bit in there, but have to wait until payday to finish filling it up...boy my pork roast last nite was awsome, DH and I kept saying 'OH MY ..OH MY" lol it was so so good.....

Bonnie you do know house work is a dirty job but someone has to do it...LOL

You know I use to have a small clientell and I cleaned houses, I worked 3 days a week, Monday-Wednesday-and Friday, but after awhile of doing that I started getting burned out, I could tell by the work I was doing inside of the homes, it wasent a good job anymore...so I just stopped and I have my own to do now and that is fine with me..

Okay can someone please tell me what Gerd is?

Re: ~*~GOODMORNING ALL SAHW**COME ON IN AND CHAT AWHILE~*~

Bonnie, here's the recipe I'm using for DSis's bridge next week. It sounds very good!  I enjoyed the deck on the bench, but no furniture yet. They're predicting the possibility now of rain, tornados, AND  snow. What a fun weekend coming up!!!

Have fun with that laundry. I just have ONE load left to do before it starts all over again.

Chicken 'n' Spinach Pasta Bake   (ADD SOME GARLIC)

    From Southern Living
Prep: 15 min., Bake: 1 hr.

    8 ounces uncooked rigatoni
    1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup finely chopped onion (about 1 medium)
1 (10-oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed
3 cups cubed cooked chicken breasts
    1 (14.5-oz.) can Italian-style diced tomatoes
    1 (8-oz.) container chive-and-onion cream cheese
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

    1. Prepare rigatoni according to package directions.

    2. Meanwhile, spread oil on bottom of an 11- x 7-inch baking dish; add onion in a single layer.

    3. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or just until tender. Transfer onion to a large bowl, and set aside.

    4. Drain chopped spinach well, pressing between layers of paper towels.

    5. Stir rigatoni, spinach, chicken, and next 4 ingredients into onion in bowl. Spoon mixture into baking dish, and sprinkle evenly with shredded mozzarella cheese.

    6. Bake, covered, at 375° for 30 minutes; uncover and bake 15 more minutes or until bubbly.

Mornin ladies.  Snowing like the dickens here.  Kids had to go make tracks all over the yard, had to go dig out the snow stuff again.  Yesterday it smelled like spring, today you would think it was Jan!

NeeNee, how many nights can a human go without sleep and still function?  Last night was a complete write off, the night before, not much bettter, the night before that, not great.  I am soon going to call myself NeeNee of No Sleep!!  I have no clue how you do it, but then, you also don't chase a 3 and 5 year old around the house I hope!

Well, my kids think it is snack time, gotta please the kids!

Re: ~*~GOODMORNING ALL SAHW**COME ON IN AND CHAT AWHILE~*~

I'll take some of those ribs thanks!!  MMMM!  I'll pass on the  strawberries.  Doesn't matter how good they look in the store, they will never taste like the ones grown in my  mom's garden.  Nope, can't beat the homegrown ones.  Infact, we just had some frozen strawberries yesterday, even though they arent fresh, you put them on top of dessert of whatever, and man, can you taste summer all over again!

Would anyone want some snow?  I would gladly send you ours!

LOL, Char, I don't remember offering to share! I shall enjoy each and every one of those strawberries grown in California. You have said before that you don't get good produce trucked in where you are, so I'm sorry you can't enjoy fresh fruits out of season like we can.

Re: ~*~GOODMORNING ALL SAHW**COME ON IN AND CHAT AWHILE~*~

Oh Rett, your not offering to share??  It could be that the strawberries that we get from California are hard as rock, becaus it takes a few days to finally get to my store, which means they have to be picked when they are mostly green.  Somteimes, they litterally have no taste whatesoever.  We do get good grapes and stuff that last longer, like mellons.  But it is hit and miss at best.  Sometimes it will look great, you get home, and it has no flavour!  Oh, at the prices we pay, that is frustrating!

Ribs on the BBQ tomorow at my house Rett??
