    Left over stew

With those small portions of left overs that wont make a second meal you can create a wonderful stew.  Keep a large plastic bowl with a lid in the freezer.  Add those bits of meat, vegtables, pasta and potatoes at the end of a meal.  When you have a full bowl then you have the makings of a great stew.  Thaw and add broth (vegtable is my favorite) and simmer til warm.  Since everything was already cooked before this is a quick meal.  Also add a small bowl with lid to the freezer for fruits.  When it is full you have the makings for smoothies already.  Just thaw some, add yogurt and milk.  Wonderbar!

Wow, what a good idea. As I live alone I am always having to throw bits of this and that away and now I will do as you suggest. Thanks.
