What can I use in place of horseradish?

I found a beef patty recipe I want to try. It calls for 2 to 3 teaspoons of horsradish mixed in gravy w/mushrooms poured over the top. I live in an RV and have limited refrig space. I hate to buy a jar and use only a few teaspoons and have the jar take up space forever in my tiny space.

Could you buy a little fresh and grate it yourself?  Or maybe substitute a little grainy mustard in your recipe.  I know it is good with pork.  I just fixed a creamy mustard gravy with pork.

Mustard would probably work since horseradish is it's main ingredient. Or you could visit Arby's and get a couple of packs of "horsey" sauce.

Do you need to have the horseradish. You could just eliminate it. I have done that to certain recipes.

Personally, I don't like horseradish.  I substitute spicey brown mustard with a squirt of lemon juice(from those plastic squeeze-bottles shaped like limes & lemons).  Give it a try.
