Re: Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea, April 16th

Good Evening Dear Friends in Tea. I have such a lovely cup of chamomile tea in my cup and a bakery made iced oatmeal cookie and I just have to share our adventures of the past day. We bought a puppy for Grandpa. It was like an angel tapped me on the shoulder and up popped a tiny little bundle....with soulful eyes and a tail that could power a motor boat. Oh it was lovely seeing the two of them sitting together and when we put the little thing to bed for the night Grandpa said, "Goodbye Friend". Well things just don't turn out much lovlier than that. My cup was overflowing with hardship and now it is tempered with lightness. I can't remember the last time I laughted so much.

I am leaving a candle burning in the window for our friends who come by tonite...May God bless you and Angels kiss you with the most pleasant of dreams. Your very grateful hostess and friend, Mary

Evenin', Tea Angels! Just stopping by to wish all a G'Nite!!

Mary - I absolutely LOVE that your day turned into such a pure blessing and fun adventure!! I can absolutely picture Grandpa and puppy with everyone else sitting back and enjoying the show! What a sweet thing to do!!! Thanks for sharing that!!

Carole - Nope! No yard work for us today. The weather just wasn't allowing us to get anything done outside. Maybe tomorrow!

Anne - I heard about the weather out your way. goodness but the weather everywhere is just plain odd!! Hopefully we're to see more sun tomorrow and warmer temps. But we, too, have been having much cooler weather than is normal for this time of year!

Well, I'm off! Sleep Sweet, Angels!! May the celestial beings watch over you and yours and grant you a restful night of peaceful slumber!!

Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea. There is a big picture to be seen from the lesson of water tension. Everyone has watched in awe as a full cup is added to again and again without going over the top. You never know what you can do, until you do it. Oh the joy that can be found in that! My tea this morning is, 'Republic of tea, Tea of Good Tidings'. It is the finest quality black tea blended with cranberries, red orange peel, cinnamon and juniper berries. Dear Trixie, chiapom puppy extraordinaire is running the show here like a three ring circus, when she got the time in to chew up my pink furry slipper I will never know, but, it was time to slip into something a bit different. I just needed a good push. With the earth quaking and weather to be wondered at there is always news to share. The forsythia in the back garden burst forth between night and morning along with bulbs of every intention and color.

This is the perfect day to clean and fill the birdfeeders, rake a few leaves and sweep a new path forward. I am determined to somehow get Grandpa outside, so if you hear about someone pushing a hospital bed down the street with a puppy at the helm, you can smile, shake you head and know it is.....your very grateful hostess and friend, Mary

Hey dee Hi Dee Ho!   The happy campers are back home!  Needless to say we had a fabulous time.  I bet you knew I was going to say that.  It doesn't take much for me to find enjoyment in things especially when they involved friends or family.

Got out of work at a decent hour and took off for out to dinner with one of the couples we were camping with.  The other couple didn't get there until about 10p.m.  We found a small mom and pop bar-b-que.  You know, the type that has the meat cooking all night on that slow fire.  We ate until we burst and every bite was as good as the bite before.

Saturday morning, the 3 girls went out on our adventure.  I swear I'm going to buy them a new truck as I had to haul my fat butt in and out of the back seat of a high set truck with NO third door.  I only felt about 103 each time I did it.  We started out at our favorite bakery only to find out by the hour of 10:30 he was almost all sold out!!!  That tells you how good he is.  I only got a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice to go and boy did I enjoy that.  It was like eating an orange picked straight from the tree.  We walked around town gazing and laughing and came across a Mexican bakery that, surpisingly, had a current scone which I was looking for.  Although not better than our favorite bakery's current scone it was pretty darned good.  I found a great pink wide brimmed hat that I had to buy to keep the sun from my face.  We also ran across these gloves that you use for taking hot things out of the oven.  They are called oven gloves and were black and had the brightest pink fur all around the cuff.  So cute!!!  I wanted to get home and check out E-Bay pricing and if I don't find them there I will pay the $16 per glove that they were selling for up there.  We stopped for a quick lunch before heading back to the campground and manged to plan a couple more outings for the weekends to come.  Our mission, this time, was to pick a couple of nostalgic places to have dinner.  The first we will visit in a few weeks is an old Jewish deli that has been in Los Angeles for about a million years.  You know there is a reuben sandwich there with my name on it.

We ate dinner together.  I made the meatloaf, another made oven roasted potatoes and the other made a beautiful salad and brought dessert.  It was cool outside so we started a fire and sat there until it burned out laughing and exchanging stories.

I made oatmeal for everyone this morning then we took off for home.

    Hugs

    kathy

Good Night Mary and all the other Tea Angels...

Mary a new puppy nothing any sweeter...and sometime nothing more michievous...but they are such loving little "guys and gals" I have a Boston Terrier named Romeo ( he doesnt know that hes a dog ) who is still going strong and brings alot of happiness this way. Glad G-pa has a New friend..

Well lets see since I visited you last we were in the EarthQuake here. I live in Southern Illinois..Thank God it wasnt one that came off the New Madrid Fault.. They have predicted that one to hit the last several years..We sit on that Fault Line. I can remember some 10-15 years ago someone predicted a date  they thought it would occur..people were scared to death..schools and some business closed for that day.. Unfortually if we do get that one there will be a lot of Major Damage and Loss of Lifes..

Now on a very plesant happening..Sat. we took in the Annual Dogwood and Azelea ( sp ) Festival in Charleston Missouri... Talk about a little town coming alive with PINK... Beautiful..Every Flower and Trees were in Full Bloom and colors were spectular.. Visiting there web. page can give you a glimpse of some of Mother Natures Work.. Such beautiful Southen Homes decked out with all the blooms with mini-lites to show them off in the eveing and night.. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed the parade..quilt show and a Craft Show... many vendors and off course the Food Vendors that had too many things to try and choose from.. The "smells" of that area could eaisly add five pounds to your waistline..And in the mist of it all even took in a "Pig Race" as well as a petting zoo.

I almost got "famous" down there.. While standing along the parade route and after all the noise of Firetrucks leading it on.. the Honor Gurad followed and was carrying our Flag.. out of habit I put my Hand over my Heart out of respect for the Flag and what it stood for as they passed. Shortly a lady came up to me and told me she had taken my picture and if I minded her publishing it in one of there little local papers..as I was the only one she said in that paticular group of people who acknowledged it.. I told her sure and I hope that it would remind more people to always show our Flag the upmost Respect that it deserves...  So to say the least I had a very enjoyable day walking around and driving through some of the most beautiful scereny you would want to behold..

Thanks for my Visit and letting me "ramble on" ... Wish I could have shared it with you all..As always I enjoyed my "Cup of Calmness" I wish you all a Good Nite and the Sweetest of Dreams.. May tomorrow bring a Good Day to everone...   bdett   Coffee

Good Morning Dear Friends in Tea. 15 minutes is all it takes to change your life. That's also the time that it takes to brew a perfect cup of tea and really enjoy it. According to the very best research, 6 cups of tea are required for optimum healthy benefits. It wards off all manner of illness and melancholy. While you are enjoying your tea, quiet your spirit and listen to that inner voice that guides your path. If you give yourself a script of positive intervention and encouragment the result will grow into something unexpected and very lovely. Return to excellence, experience new joys and old pleasures. Pray, play and pay for everything as soon as you know you owe it to someone. Make contact with the human race and put a smile in your piggy bank. The past 15 minutes has been brought to you by....Tea. Brew a cup and see if things don't start blooming, right under your nose.

Dear Kathy, Do you know how I know you have arrived back from your travels? My smile breaks loose and my eyes start to twinkle. You have that certain blessing of star quality that puts you in the middle of a party. Give me an itinerary and I will be standing on the corner waiting to wave at you!

Dear Bdett, I think the earth moving is a sign of the times. It serves as a reminder that we all need a bit of a stir to keep the sugar from settling all int he bottom of the cup. I am so delighted that you had such a lovely day.

Dear Carole, I am trying not to worry about you but, mercy, when you are uncomfortable I feel it. I hope relief has already started to come your way!

Wake up Susie...the weather outside is just grand! Tomorrow may bring a shower or two, but today, anything is possible.

I can't wait to pick up my feet and see where the path leads. Your very grateful hostess and friend, Mary

Good morning, good morning my girlfriends!  Happy Monday to everyone!

Audrey, it's good to see you back.  After all that planning your Florida trip is all over and done with.  It's like Thanksgiving dinner.  Takes so long to plan and make and then it is over in a second.  I hope you will post details of your adventura.

Mary, how's that baby puppy doing?  Getting in to more mischief than you can imagine, I bet.  So cute!  I can just smell it's little puppy breath now.  Does it bite on Grandpa?  They do like to bite.  I have such a smile on my face thinking about it.

donelle, good morning.  Hope you didn't get too late to where you were going.

    Hugs

Good afternoon, everyone! You all look Mah-velous!

Mary, it was with a smile that I thought of you all day yesterday pushing that bed down the street with the puppy at the helm! I hope the puppy brings happiness to Grandpa Harry and the whole family!

Kathy, sounds like you had a wonderful vacation -- and what exercise it is to climb in and out of the truck while shopping! Those gloves sound interesting, please let us know if you find them for a good deal!

bdett, if your picture is published, you'll have to let us all know! Perhaps we can see it online? The azaela festival sounds beautiful!

Carole, glad to hear you had a great weekend! It was glorious here and it continues today!

Donelle, I saw you rush through -- slow down so you don't stub your toe!

Audrey, I know well the feeling of needing a vacation to recover from vacation! Sounds like you had a great time!

It's another day of crystal clear blue skies and all sunshine! Lovin it, but it's far too early to do any planting, so we're just doing winter clean-up and making plans! I ordered myself an early b-day present -- a Mantis garden tiller! I've wanted one for years, so now is the time! Will make getting my wee little garden ready so much easier and faster!

I hope you all have a blessed day full of surprises and accomplishment!

    xoxo

Good Afternoon Dear Tea Friends, I spent the afternoon with two different landscapers, who had two very exciting...but totally different visions for my front yard. I really like them both, one is youth and energy and the other 30 years experienced. Both are lifelong Fenton residents and very talented in thier work. Now my problem is...comparing apples to oranges, at least both have a peel, lol.

Trixie chiapom lovey puppy, has brains as well as being able to prance like a racehorse with a huge bone in her mouth has captured one heart after another. Grandpa loves everything about her except her tongue which is always giving kisses. He takes a wipe like Monk and scrubs his face like he has been poisoned.

Dear Susie, Congratualtions on the Mantis! I think I have their smallest model which is a bit like taking a pair of nail scissors to cut the lawn, but it sure works well. Grandpa enjoyed the Grand Marche yesterday and the fresh air put him right to peaceful sleep.

Dear Carole, I hope that you are soon up and running to all manner of lovely places with no pain. What's for supper?

Dear Donelle, I just bet you could sort out this garden in nothing flat and still have time for tea. Just smile and noone will even realize that you are a wee bit on the lateside.

Dear Kathy, Why do I have the feeling that you have some really big plan up your sleeve? I hope work today was a breeze.....

Dear Audrey, I am totally smiling at the picture of you running after those wonderful grands as they played oceanside. Oh the joy of needing a vacation from your vacation!

II am thinking that dinner will have to make an appearance without my help. I am pleasantly worn out. Your friend, Mary

Mary, I can't wait to see/hear what you decide on your landscaping!

Yikes, I hope the one I ordered isn't so small that it's like taking nail scissors to the lawn! I've waited so long!

Steve is out of town until Wednesday, so no cooking is happening here! Jeff came after work and took me out to dinner!  :)

    Sweet Sleep to you all!
